Our Grade 8 Science students traded the classroom for the field today! πΏ
As Junior Taxonomists, they headed out to observe, document, and classify organisms found right in the vicinity of our school, applying the 3-domain and 6-kingdom classification scheme and binomial nomenclature to record local flora and fauna the way real scientists do.
The best part? Our school grounds had no existing species record to speak of. That changes now. Every individual report from our students will be compiled into a single class volume titled the "2026 Preliminary Species Report," a real biological database for this specific area, built entirely by our Grade 8 class.
Science is not just something you read about. Sometimes, it's something you go out and do. π

Big news for our High School footballers! β½
We had the pleasure of welcoming Coach Aljoe Clarino, one of the most well-respected football and futsal coaches in the country, for a free Futsal Clinic held earlier today at the BA Court! Our High School students took to the court from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM for an afternoon of futsal training and games.
This one felt especially exciting for us. Bannister Academy has long had a football team, and after almost three years in our new campus, we finally brought the beautiful game back, this time in the form of futsal.
Here's to new beginnings and beautiful goals. Thank you, Coach Aljoe! πββοΈ

Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting a Book Fair with National Book Store and Lampara Books! π
Students from Pre-School all the way to Senior High got to browse and buy books across all genres, and it wasn't just for the kids! Parents, families, and staff were all welcome to join in, and plenty of them went home with new reads of their own.
To wrap things up, Lampara Books held a special storytelling session, a lovely reminder that stories have a way of bringing people together and keeping the love of reading alive at every age.
Thank you to National Book Store and Lampara Books for giving our kids the chance to discover new worlds, new ideas, and maybe even their next favorite book. We hope to do this again soon! β¨

The school year is almost over, and that means one thing: the House Cup is nearly decided! π
After months of earning points through events big and small, we're heading into our Final House Games with Aurum out in front at 2,025 points, holding an 80-point lead over Crimson at 1,945.
Will Aurum cement their lead and take this year's House Cup? Or will Crimson pull off a comeback and add another year to their winning streak?
We'll find out on May 15 at our Final House Games! More details coming soon. π

Our M26 Visual Arts Exhibit, Symphony No. 9 (Ode to Joy), was a huge success! πΌοΈ
A big congratulations to our student exhibitors Emma, Nico, Akira, and Angie, and to their Visual Arts teacher Ms. Ellaine who guided them every step of the way! Together, they put together an incredible collection spanning many different art forms, all tied together by the balance between city life and the natural world.
Visitors also got to watch a special behind-the-scenes video where the students walked everyone through their thought processes, how they created their pieces, and what it actually took to bring the whole space to life.
It was so wonderful to see such a great turnout of support for our young artists. Thank you to all the proud parents and to the students from Westfield International for coming to view the artworks and celebrate with us! π¨

Our Grade 4 to 6 students are getting hands-on with IT! π»
They've been building their very own web portfolios, a space to show off their school projects, personal interests, and everything they've been proud of this year. Along the way, they're picking up real digital and content creation skills that'll serve them well as they grow.
They're still adding the finishing touches, pulling in work from their other classes, and we'll be sharing the links to their sites very soon. π
Stay tuned, you won't want to miss these! π

The words we choose say so much about who we are! π
Ms. Rachelle paid our Grade Schoolers a visit to talk about the little things that leave a big impression: a friendly smile, the way we dress, and how we carry ourselves. She showed the kids just how far simple words like "please" and "thank you" can go in making the people around us feel respected and valued.
The students even got to practice how standing tall and speaking politely can completely change the feel of a conversation.
It's never too early to build these habits. Thank you, Ms. Rachelle, for helping our students show up as their best selves. π
