Alam niyo, noong una kayong humarap sa akin during interview niyo bilang applicant as 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐃𝐢𝐠 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, magkakaiba ang aura na nararamdaman ko noon. May iilan na may kaba during interview, iba kalmado, may mga palaban ang sagot, at may iilan na tila ba nagmamadali nang matapos agad ang interview dahil sa kaba. Hindi ko pa alam noon na ang magkakaibang mukhang ito ang siyang magiging dahilan kung bakit ako mananatiling masaya sa profession ko.

Sinubukan kong itanim sa inyong isipan na ang pagiging advocate ay hindi basta-basta. Kailangan ng commitment at dedication para sa serbisyo na ibibigay niyo sa kapwa niyo kabataan. Walang formula para maging perfect na advocate kasi puso na may pagmamahal sa ginagawa ang dapat. Ngunit hindi ko sinasabi sa inyo na tuwing may mga natatapos tayong programa o events, hindi ko alam kung sino sa atin ang mas ipinagmamalaki kayo ba, dahil simula sa preparation hanggang sa program nagawa niyo, o ako, dahil kayo ang naging sagot sa tanong kong “𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙖𝙠𝙤 𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧.”

Naalala ko pa yung mga araw na pagod, gutom, may iyak at tawa tayo dahil sa mga projects pero nagagawa niyo pa ring tumawa sa mga biro ko minsan pero mas madalas na mas corny kayo. Naalala ko din yung mga panahong mahina ako, nandyan kayo para maging lakas ko. Naalala ko din yung mga luha niyo noong pressure sa acads, family problems, at kung ano mang kinahaharap niyo, at yung yakap niyo sa akin tuwing pagod ako at nanahimik sa sulok habang umiiyak. 𝐓𝐚𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐤𝐨.

Sa bawat alaalang yun, hindi lang kayo ang nag-aaral. Ako rin natuto. Natuto akong maging mas matiyaga. Natuto akong maging mas malambing, kahit pa ang tingin ng iba nabibigyan na ng ibang kahulugan. Natutunan ko sa inyo kung paano mahalin ang trabahong ito nang hindi napapagod dahil sa tuwing nakikita ko kayong lumalaban, para na rin akong nabubuhayan.

At ngayon, nandito na tayo.

Hawak ang inyong diploma at suot ang mga medalya. Hindi na kayo yung mga batang takot sumagot noon, tahimik at nasa comfort zone lang. Ngayon, handa na kayong harapin ang mas malaking mundo. At ako? Narito lang ako, nakatayo sa gilid, puno ng pagmamalaki ngunit may konting lungkot. (konti lang)

Hindi ko alam kung paano sasabihin sa inyo na ang 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐃𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 na ay hindi na kumpleto kapag wala na kayo. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko haharapin ang susunod na batch ng mga advocates nang hindi ko kayo hinahanap sa playing room at counseling room.

Pero higit sa lahat, gusto kong malaman niyo na ang pagiging proud ko sa inyo ay hindi nasusukat sa post ko na to hahaha. Proud ako sa kung sino kayo sa inyong tyaga, sa inyong sipag, at sa inyong puso. Sa bawat isa sa inyo, iba-iba man ang landas na tatahakin, bitbit niyo ang isang piraso ng puso ko.

Kaya ngayong araw na ito, hayaan niyo naman akong maging estudyante niyo kahit sandali. Hayaan niyong ako naman ang matuto sa inyo kung paano bitawan ang isang bagay na sobrang mahalaga dahil alam mong kailangan na nitong lumipad.

Huwag kayong mag-alala. Hindi ko isasara ang pintuan ng TeenDig Center. Dito lang ako, naghihintay na bumalik kayo kahit kalianhindi na bilang aking mga student at advocates, kundi bilang aking mga naging kaibigan, at higit sa lahat, bilang aking pamilya sa pangalawang tahanan.

🎉 Congratulations on Making It to 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐌𝐞𝐝! 🎉

Getting into 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐌𝐞𝐝 meant facing a 12‑hour exam with ten subtests and thousands of other hopefuls. Only the top 200+ would move on to the interview. With no Anatomy and Physiology background, she never expected to be among them.

But she was.

The interview was with the very professors and doctors who run the program and she dreads interviews. So for three years, she prepared. She stepped out of her comfort zone with the help of her club adviser and members. She worked to become the person she wanted to honestly present.

When the day came, they barely asked about academics. Instead, she found herself passionately talking about her hobbies, geeking out over cosplaying, even ranting about a K‑pop member who left a week before. It was raw and unpolished but it was her.

Afterward, one answer kept her awake for days. She overthought it until sleep felt impossible.

Then the results came. One word, highlighted in yellow: 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝

This didn’t happen overnight. It was years of hard work, countless moments of fear, and the quiet decision to keep going anyway. To anyone chasing a dream: the journey itself prepares you. And sometimes, being unapologetically yourself is what finally gets you to yes.

In our daily lives, while the world constantly moves and time never stops, there is always a woman quietly lifts others up—a woman who pauses her own journey to support someone else, a woman who delays her dreams so another can chase theirs, and a woman who pushes people toward the top even when no one sees her efforts. There will always be times where we feel like giving up. Times where we feel too tired to even get up and continue with our studies or our journey to achieving our dreams. However, there are people who continue to push us forward, they could be your friends, family, or your idol. For me, these people are; Ate Aish, Ate Agui, and Val.

★ 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐢𝐬𝐡 – the one who continues to reach for the top, remaining undeterred by the obstacles in her path. She taught others to never give up on their dreams, no matter what challenges try to stop them.

★ 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢 – the girl who continues to excel in her academics despite her busyness. She continues to inspire others with her intelligence, beauty, and kindness while also showing them that she isn't perfect—much like everyone else.

★ 𝐕𝐚𝐥 – the most hardworking student I know. Even if her schedule is packed, she always finishes her assigned tasks on time, never once missing a deadline. Despite this, she always makes sure that she has extra time for her friends and herself.

These women have shown me time and time again that I should continue to chase my dreams. Their efforts to achieve their own goals have inspired me and others to continue fighting on to achieve mine.

Despite mostly working in the shadows and often disregarded because of their gender, they remained a 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Though most of their contributions were not recognized, their ideas still transformed industries, improved ideas and built foundations for today's modern world. From early Innovations to modern success, women have consistently shown their brilliance and resilience throughout the years.

As time pass, their voices grew stronger and louder. More opportunities began to open allowing women to lead, innovate and showcase their ideas freely. Their breakthrough became a symbol of courage that proves their strength in the society that suppress them in the pass.

Today, women continue to change and improve our world, through their Inventions and innovations, shaping our world to a more inclusive and innovative world. Their journey reminds us that progress is not just about advancement but also about equality and recognition of one's hardwork regardless of their gender
