🚨 PREPAREDNESS IN ACTION: PPIS EMERGENCY DRILL 🚨

Today, our students at Prince of Peace Integrated School Inc. (PPIS) participated in an Emergency Preparedness Drill designed to help them understand and practice what to do during unexpected situations—whether caused by natural hazards or human-made emergencies.

Through guided simulations, students practiced staying calm, following safety instructions, responding appropriately, and moving safely during an emergency.

This activity is part of PPIS’ continuing effort to strengthen disaster preparedness, safety awareness, and resilience within our school community. While we hope emergencies never happen, we believe that preparation, presence of mind, and knowing what to do can make an important difference when every second counts.

More than simply conducting a drill, we are helping our students develop lifelong habits of awareness, discipline, cooperation, responsibility, and readiness.

At PPIS, keeping our learners safe means preparing them not only for the classroom, but also for the unexpected. 💜

📢 PPIS SCHEDULE FOR AUGUST 24–28, 2026

Dear PPIS Parents and Students,

Please take note of our schedule for the coming week. There will be NO ONLINE CLASSES this week. Wednesday, our usual online day, will instead be an onsite Term 1 Examination Day.

🌸 KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten learners will follow their own assessment schedule, which will be provided directly by their teacher. Kindergarten parents are requested to follow the schedule and instructions given by their respective teacher.

📚 MONDAY, AUGUST 24 – REVIEW DAY
• Review for subjects with exams on Wednesday
• Teachers will provide the specific class/review schedule.
• Attire: School Uniform

📚 TUESDAY, AUGUST 25 – REVIEW DAY + NATIONWIDE SCHOOL SAFETY DRILL
• Review for subjects with exams on Thursday
• PPIS will participate in the DepEd-mandated Nationwide School Safety Drill.
• Attire: PE Uniform

📝 WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26 – TERM 1 EXAMS
• Face-to-face examination day — NO online classes
• Please refer to Circular No. 8 in the Parent Portal for the examination subjects and schedule.
• Attire: School Uniform

📝 THURSDAY, AUGUST 27 – TERM 1 EXAMS
• Second examination day
• Please refer to Circular No. 8 in the Parent Portal for the examination subjects and schedule.
• Attire: PE Uniform

✅ FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 – COMPLETION DAY | 9:00 AM–12:00 NN
• Half-day only
• Completion of any remaining Term 1 requirements
• Attire: PE Uniform

🇵🇭 FRIDAY AFTERNOON – PILIPINAS: DALOY NG KASAYSAYAN CULTURAL TRIP

For registered participants:

1:30–2:00 PM – Assembly at PPIS
2:00 PM – Departure from PPIS
Before 3:00 PM – Assembly at Assumption Antipolo
4:00 PM – Show begins
Around 6:30 PM – Expected end of show
7:00–8:00 PM – Estimated arrival back at PPIS, depending on the actual end of the show and travel conditions

🎟️ Tickets: Claim stubs will be distributed by Tuesday. Please keep the stub, as the actual tickets will be distributed at the venue.
🎒 What to Bring: Baon, water, and extra snacks.
👕 Cultural Trip Attire: PE Uniform with School ID
👩‍🏫 Teachers will accompany and supervise students attending without their parents.

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS

There are NO ONLINE CLASSES this week. Please follow the face-to-face schedule above and refer to Circular No. 8 in the Parent Portal for the detailed Term 1 examination schedule.

🛡️ Classes shall proceed as scheduled unless an official declaration of class suspension is issued by the appropriate government authorities due to any inclement weather or unforeseen event.

Parents are encouraged to continue checking the Parent Portal and official PPIS communication channels for announcements and updates.

📢 NO CLASSES | NINOY AQUINO DAY

In observance of Ninoy Aquino Day, there will be no classes for all students tomorrow, August 21, 2026, and PPIS offices will be closed.

Classes and office operations will resume on Monday, August 24, 2026. 💜💛

📝 TERM 1 EXAMINATIONS – NEXT WEEK
Please review Circular No. 8 for the Term 1 Examination schedule and important guidelines. Parents are reminded to sign their name on the Reply Slip to confirm that the circular has been read and acknowledged.

📚 Exam reviewers are available in MS Teams. Students are encouraged to use the holiday and weekend wisely to review and prepare for next week's examinations.

🇵🇭 PILIPINAS: DALOY NG KASAYSAYAN
Tickets are still available for our cultural trip to experience Pilipinas: Daloy ng Kasaysayan on August 28. We encourage our families to take this opportunity to let our learners experience Philippine history and culture beyond the classroom.

Please be guided by our Online Class Schedule for Thursday, August 20, 2026. Kindly refer to the posted schedule for the correct class times and subjects for each grade level.

💻 Kinder: 9:30–11:00 AM
📚 Grades 1–12: Please follow the schedule posted.

Students should use their usual Microsoft Teams class links and follow their respective grade-level schedules.

Attendance will be checked and recorded. Students are expected to join their classes on time and participate actively. If a student is unable to attend due to circumstances beyond their control, parents are requested to submit an Attendance Excuse Slip through the PPIS Portal.

📢 ADVISORY | ONLINE KAMUSTAHAN — AUGUST 19, 2026

In view of the continued effects of the Habagat and the implementation of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) tomorrow, PPIS will not conduct the previously posted regular online class schedule.

Instead, we will have a short ONLINE KAMUSTAHAN with the Class Adviser for all grade levels:

This session will give our students an opportunity to check in with their adviser and classmates, receive their reviewers and other important learning materials, and ask questions or seek clarification about their lessons and upcoming assessments.

We recognize that many families continue to experience difficulties brought about by the heavy rains. Keeping tomorrow's session short will allow us to maintain our connection with our learners while giving affected families the time they need to rest, recover, and attend to their immediate needs.

Students who are unable to join because of weather-related circumstances may submit an Attendance Excuse Slip through the School Portal for proper recording and documentation.

There will be no regular online classes tomorrow beyond the scheduled Kamustahan.

A PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN AND OUR SCHOOLS 🙏

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your mercy, protection, and peace over all our students and school communities. We pray for healing and comfort for the families and loved ones affected by this tragedy. May truth prevail, may justice be served, and may those who grieve feel Your presence surrounding them.

Lord, give us wisdom to recognize and reach out to young people who may be hurting, struggling, angry, afraid, or alone. Touch the hearts of parents, teachers, classmates, and trusted adults. Help us to listen more carefully, notice what may be left unsaid, respond with compassion, and have the courage to seek help when it is needed.

Protect our children, Lord. Guard their hearts and minds, and keep our schools safe. Teach us not to face difficult times in isolation, but to pray for one another, look after one another, and support one another as one community.

May our homes and schools be places where every young person knows that there are people willing to listen, to care, to guide, and to help.

We entrust every student, family, teacher, and school community into Your loving hands.
