🚨 PREPAREDNESS IN ACTION: PPIS EMERGENCY DRILL 🚨

Today, our students at Prince of Peace Integrated School Inc. (PPIS) participated in an Emergency Preparedness Drill designed to help them understand and practice what to do during unexpected situationsβ€”whether caused by natural hazards or human-made emergencies.

Through guided simulations, students practiced staying calm, following safety instructions, responding appropriately, and moving safely during an emergency.

This activity is part of PPIS’ continuing effort to strengthen disaster preparedness, safety awareness, and resilience within our school community. While we hope emergencies never happen, we believe that preparation, presence of mind, and knowing what to do can make an important difference when every second counts.

More than simply conducting a drill, we are helping our students develop lifelong habits of awareness, discipline, cooperation, responsibility, and readiness.

At PPIS, keeping our learners safe means preparing them not only for the classroom, but also for the unexpected. πŸ’œ

Prepared today. Resilient tomorrow. Together, we build a safer PPIS community.

What does β€œKain tayo” really mean?

An AI translator might simply tell us: β€œLet’s eat.”

But as Filipinos, we know it can mean so much more.

Come, join us.
You are welcome here.
Share what we have.
You are one of us.

Our language does more than communicate informationβ€”it carries traces of who we are, how we relate to one another, and how generations before us experienced the world.

At the heart of this is a distinctly Filipino concept: KAPWAβ€”the recognition of our shared humanity and our connection and responsibility to one another.

As we celebrate Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026 and reflect on the theme β€œWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” this video invites us to think about an important question:

πŸ€– In an age when AI can translate our words, search our history, and give us information in seconds, how do we make sure the meaning behind our culture is not lost?

Technology gives us powerful new tools to document and discover. But culture survives when people remember it, understand it, live it, and pass it on.

And this August, we invite our PPIS learners to experience that cultural heritage beyond the screen. β€οΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Culture is not simply a legacy we inherit. It is a legacy entrusted to us.

The story is now in our hands.

🎭✨ PPIS PRIDE: Congratulations, Christian Elijah Guanzon Lunaria! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡

Prince of Peace Integrated School Inc. proudly celebrates Christian Elijah Guanzon Lunaria of the Lunaria Marionette Show for receiving the OUTSTANDING YOUTH PUPPETEER AWARD at the Songkhla Harmony World Puppet Festival – UNIMA Asia-Pacific Forum Thailand 2026, held in Songkhla, Thailand! πŸ†

We are incredibly proud to see one of our learners representing the Philippines on an international stage through the unique and beautiful art of puppeteering.

Elijah's achievement reminds us that education is also about discovering the gifts God has placed within us and having the courage, discipline, and passion to develop them. Whether your gift is in the arts, academics, sports, technology, music, leadership, or something uniquely your ownβ€”keep learning, keep creating, and keep growing.

To Elijah, continue telling stories, creating, performing, and pursuing this wonderful craft. May this recognition inspire you to take your passion even furtherβ€”and may your journey encourage other young people to discover and develop their own creative gifts.

β€œEach of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.” β€” 1 Peter 4:10

Congratulations, Elijah! Your PPIS family is very proud of you! πŸ’œπŸ’›

Keep creating. Keep pursuing your passion. Keep letting your gifts S.H.I.N.E.! ✨

πŸ“’ ADVISORY | ONLINE KAMUSTAHAN β€” AUGUST 19, 2026

In view of the continued effects of the Habagat and the implementation of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) tomorrow, PPIS will not conduct the previously posted regular online class schedule.

Instead, we will have a short ONLINE KAMUSTAHAN with the Class Adviser for all grade levels:

πŸ’» ONLINE KAMUSTAHAN
πŸ“… Wednesday, August 19, 2026
πŸ•™ 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
πŸ‘©β€πŸ« With your Class Adviser

This session will give our students an opportunity to check in with their adviser and classmates, receive their reviewers and other important learning materials, and ask questions or seek clarification about their lessons and upcoming assessments.

We recognize that many families continue to experience difficulties brought about by the heavy rains. Keeping tomorrow's session short will allow us to maintain our connection with our learners while giving affected families the time they need to rest, recover, and attend to their immediate needs.

Students who are unable to join because of weather-related circumstances may submit an Attendance Excuse Slip through the School Portal for proper recording and documentation.

There will be no regular online classes tomorrow beyond the scheduled Kamustahan.

πŸ’œ Please continue to prioritize your family's safety and well-being.

β€œGod is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” β€” Psalm 46:1 (ESV)

Stay safe, PPIS family. Let us continue to pray for and look after one another. πŸ™

A PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN AND OUR SCHOOLS πŸ™

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your mercy, protection, and peace over all our students and school communities. We pray for healing and comfort for the families and loved ones affected by this tragedy. May truth prevail, may justice be served, and may those who grieve feel Your presence surrounding them.

Lord, give us wisdom to recognize and reach out to young people who may be hurting, struggling, angry, afraid, or alone. Touch the hearts of parents, teachers, classmates, and trusted adults. Help us to listen more carefully, notice what may be left unsaid, respond with compassion, and have the courage to seek help when it is needed.

Protect our children, Lord. Guard their hearts and minds, and keep our schools safe. Teach us not to face difficult times in isolation, but to pray for one another, look after one another, and support one another as one community.

May our homes and schools be places where every young person knows that there are people willing to listen, to care, to guide, and to help.

We entrust every student, family, teacher, and school community into Your loving hands.

β€œGod is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.”
β€” Psalm 46:1 (ESV)

In Jesus' name, Amen.

With prayers from the Prince of Peace Integrated School community. πŸ™
