Parents, if you've ever worried that your child isn't eating enough, this one's for you.

We're proud to celebrate Teacher Tricia, Teacher Aya, and Teacher Jess for successfully completing the SOS Approach to Feeding®: Assessment and Treatment of Pediatric Feeding Challenges workshop! 🎉👏

This internationally recognized training included 9 hours of prerequisite online learning followed by 4 days (yes, DAYS!) of an intensive, hands-on workshop, equipping our therapists with evidence-based strategies to assess and support children with feeding challenges.

☀️ What does an SOS-trained therapist do?

Rather than focusing only on what a child eats, SOS-trained therapists look at the whole child—including sensory processing, oral motor skills, posture, medical and nutritional factors, and learning—to understand why eating is difficult. This whole-child approach helps children build positive relationships with food.

We're excited to bring these new learnings back to VIVID as we prepare to update our spaces and formally launch our feeding therapy services. We can't wait to support more families on their feeding journey!

To Teacher Tricia, Teacher Aya, and Teacher Jess, thank you for your dedication to advancing your knowledge and bringing compassionate, evidence-informed care to every child at VIVID. Over the past weeks, during their individual therapy sessions, each child was invited to draw and paint a portrait of themselves.

Every artwork reflects how they see themselves—with their own unique colours, style, and personality.

Now, all of these wonderful self-portraits have come together to create one beautiful wall that celebrates individuality, creativity, and self-expression.

At VIVID, we believe that every child has a unique story to tell, and sometimes, all it takes is a blank sheet of paper and a little imagination. 💛
