Today marks the 40th anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution — a historic moment when millions of Filipinos gathered along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue to peacefully demand the end of unfair leadership and restore democracy in the Philippines. From February 22 to 25, 1986. ordinary citizens, religious leaders, and soldiers stood together in unity, proving that united action can bring lasting political change.

As we commemorate this milestone, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and solidarity that shaped our nation’s history. The spirit of EDSA reminds us to remain vigilant in protecting our rights, upholding truth, and strengthening the democracy that so many fought hard to reclaim. 🇵🇭

May mga kalmadong nagre-review sa maagang oras ⏰, may iba namang crammers na biglang nagiging fast readers at quick thinkers pagsapit ng gabi. 😩

Mixed emotions talaga—may kaba, may pressure, may pagod, pero may halong tawa rin sa mga sablay moments (lalo na sa essay part 😥).

Kaya ‘wag kalimutang huminga, magpahinga, at ipagdasal ‘yan. 🙏

As this year begins, let’s pause and look back on everything we faced—the challenges that strengthened us, the opportunities that helped us grow, and the blessings that kept us going. We're grateful for all the lessons, memories, and especially for those people who stayed, supported, and believed in us along the way.

Today, we honor 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲́ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹—a man whose 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and whose 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 🇵🇭

Born on June 19, 1861, in Calamba, Laguna, 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺.
His novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo opened the eyes of our ancestors to the injustices of the Spanish regime.

On 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬, 𝟭𝟴𝟵𝟲, 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 (now Luneta Park) 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆—proving that true heroism needs neither a sword nor an army, but conviction and love for one’s country.
