Let us welcome the newly appointed officers after two long months of being unofficial and working quietly in the shadows.

These officers are selected to lead for the School Year 2026-2027 by the 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚's advisers—Sir Jemar Lynus Gatlabayan, and Sir Allan Mark C. Sotto, along with former 𝐁𝐊𝐃 officers. Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, ating ipinagdiriwang ang kahalagahan ng wikang Filipino bilang puso ng ating kultura, pagkakakilanlan, at pagkakaisa bilang isang bansa.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang okasyong ito upang patuloy nating mahalin, gamitin, at ipagmalaki ang ating sariling wika sa bawat pagkakataon.

𝖧𝖾𝗒, 𝖠𝖢𝖲𝖧𝖲𝗂𝖺𝗇𝗌! June is almost ending, but of course, we can't and won't just dismiss the fact that it's the month of Pride! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Every year on the 6th month—June—the Pride Month is celebrated. It is a month-long celebration dedicated towards the LGBTQIA+ community.

Today is the 28th day of June, which means it's the very day that the LGBTQIA+ community fought for their rights, and this year is Pride Month's 56th year celebrated!🎉

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?💭
Pride month started as a riot against police brutality at a small dive bar in New York City called the Stonewall Inn.

The police took advantage of these laws to raid drinking establishments and arrest transgender and gender non-conforming individuals.

On June 28, 1969, the police raided the Stonewall Inn like they had many times before. Only, this time, something unusual happened: Stonewall patrons fought back.

The first Gay Pride Liberation March took place in Manhattan in 1970 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Stonewall.

The first LGBT Pride march in the Philippines was held on June 26, 1994 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Stonewall Riot, And on June 30, 2016 the first transgender representative in the congress, Geraldine B. Roman submitted House Bill 267, otherwise known as the Anti-SOGI Discrimination Act, and is currently still up for approval.

Unfortunately, the LGBTQIA+ community still faces discrimination, and same-sex marriage remains illegal in our country. Despite this, continuous advocacy and the fight for equal rights have led to gradual global acceptance of LGBTQIA+ members over the years.
