BE GUIDED MPCians!

We’ve heard your thoughts and concerns regarding the following

- Solo Candidate

As outlined in Article VI, Section 7 of our Constitution:
β€œWhen a single candidate qualifies for a specific position, a vote of confidence is required. For the candidate to be elected, they must secure over 50% of the total votes cast.”

This ensures that even if only one person is running, they must have the support of the majority to be elected. Your voice matters, so be sure to cast your vote and make it count!

- Process of Protest:

Regarding this matter, We (COMSELEC) will only entertain it if the candidates raise this concern/matter/issue together with a letter of complaint and evidence that proves the said concern/matter/issue, then we will proceed to a meeting and discussion. Candidates can email COMSELEC directly for any clarifications or questions.

This means that if candidates have a concern or issue they want to protest, COMSELEC will only address it if the candidates submit a formal letter of complaint along with evidence to support their claim. After receiving the complaint and evidence, COMSELEC will schedule a meeting to discuss the matter.

Let us have a healthy and fair election!
