WEATHER ADVISORY AND SAFETY REMINDER

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please be informed that, based on the latest Thunderstorm Advisory No. 5 issued by PAGASA at 5:39 AM today, August 18, 2026, moderate to heavy rainshowers, lightning, and strong winds are currently being experienced in Anini-y, Antique, and these conditions may persist for 1 to 2 hours. The advisory also warns of possible flash floods and landslides.

We would like to clarify that Anini-y is currently NOT included under the Red or Orange Rainfall Warning. Therefore, there is NO automatic suspension of classes based solely on the present rainfall warning.

However, the safety of our learners remains our highest priority.

To our dear parents and guardians, if you believe that it is dangerous for your child to travel to school because of the weather conditions in your area, please DO NOT allow your child to leave home. We fully understand and respect your decision to prioritize your child’s safety.

Likewise, learners who are residing in mountainous areas where landslides may occur are strongly advised not to attempt to travel to school when conditions are unsafe. Those coming from flood-prone areas or areas with impassable or hazardous roads and bridges should likewise remain at home until it is safe to travel.

Parents and learners are advised to:

* Stay alert and continuously monitor weather updates from PAGASA and local authorities.
* Assess the actual condition of roads, bridges, rivers, and surrounding areas before travelling.
* Do not cross flooded roads, rivers, or bridges.
* Avoid travelling through areas with possible landslide hazards.
* Immediately prioritize safety whenever travelling becomes dangerous.

Please be guided accordingly. We continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue further announcements should conditions change or an official suspension be declared.

Let us remain vigilant, responsible, and informed.

SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

As part of the 77th Araw kang Anini-y, we proudly celebrate the remarkable achievement of our four alumni from the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, who were conferred the Pasidungog Award by the Municipality of Anini-y.

Three of the awardees are proud members of the Indigenous People (IP) community, a testament that excellence knows no boundaries and that determination, resilience, and hard work lead to success.

Their recognition is made possible through a local ordinance that institutionalizes the Pasidungog Awards. This landmark ordinance honors Anini-y students who excel academically, including Latin honor graduates and topnotchers in board and bar examinations, affirming the municipality’s commitment to promoting educational excellence.

Your achievements bring pride not only to your families and alma mater but to the entire Municipality of Anini-y. May your success inspire more young Anini-yhanons to pursue their dreams with courage, perseverance, and unwavering dedication.

Congratulations, Pasidungog Awardees! Your accomplishments are a shining reminder that education is the greatest investment in building a brighter future for our community.

For 124 years, the Iglesia Filipina Independiente has stood as a living testament that faith and patriotism are inseparable. A Church deeply rooted in the Gospel and steadfast in its commitment to the Filipino people.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, may we continue to embody our timeless motto:

Pro Deo et Patria — Para sa Diyos at sa Bayan.

May we remain unwavering in our mission to proclaim Christ, uphold justice, serve our communities with compassion, and love our nation with integrity and courage.

IFI: Tunay na Maka-Diyos, Tunay na Makabayan.

Today, our Darangpan Hall stands with its pillars reaching toward the sky. A powerful reminder that every great dream begins with a strong foundation. But while the structure continues to rise, its story is far from complete.

We now humbly appeal to our beloved alumni, generous benefactors, kind-hearted individuals, private companies, civic organizations, and partners in education to help us bring this vision to life. We are seeking support for the roofing, flooring, lighting, sound system, bleachers, and other essential facilities that will transform this structure into a safe and inspiring home for generations of learners.

Darangpan is a Kinaray-a word that means refuge, shelter, and a place of hope. More than a building, this hall will become a sanctuary where dreams are nurtured, talents are discovered, faith is strengthened, champions are made, and memories are created.

To our dear alumni, this school helped shape the people you are today. We now invite you to become part of its next chapter. Let your success become a blessing for those who are now walking the same halls you once called home.

To our corporate partners and benefactors, your generosity is more than a donation. It is an investment in education, character, and the future of our youth. Every sheet of roofing, every light installed, every facility completed will stand as a lasting testament to your commitment to the next generation.

Together, let us not simply build a hall.
Let us build hope. Let us build opportunities. Let us build a legacy that will echo for decades to come.

If God has blessed us with the ability to give, may we also be blessed with the heart to share.

Join us in completing the Darangpan Hall. Together, we can raise not only a roof, but the dreams of every St. Andrewan who will one day stand beneath it.

One Hall. One Community. One Legacy.
