Mostly, the students at the SMMS Homeschooling Program prefer a calm and serene environment. Although they can adjust to noise, too loud noise is not their preference.

The students have a polite and kind tone. I think this is the reason why mostly the SMMS Homeschooling Program students are well-spoken

The SMMS Homeschooling Program Artworkshop takes place twice each term, and the Art Coach ensures that each session is both educational and enjoyable for all attending homeschoolers.

The focus of the lesson for Arts for today is how to use the brush and which brush to use.

Creating videos is already part of the performance tasks in school. If junior high school students learn how to make simple videos, they can apply those skills in college projects and later in their careers or when they start their own businesses as adults.

Reading out loud is an excellent way to improve focus, memory retention, and pronunciation. Additionally, it can significantly lower a student's stress levels.

Not everyone is a fast reader, but maintaining a regular reading practice contributes to a student's intelligence. At SMMS Homeschooling, we have different reading activities for their Home Classroom, including parent storytelling, flashcard reading, reading aloud, quiet reading, story retelling, and other engaging methods that parents can incorporate into their home classrooms. All of these activities become enjoyable for children, making reading a pleasurable experience.

The SMMS Homeschooling Program recently held its first Mathematics class review at the school building. This review included students from Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, and Junior High School (JHS).

While students complete their school tasks at home, the school holds class reviews or online classes for Grades 1-10.

The Grades 7-10 SMMS Homeschooling program adopts a school-at-home approach, featuring a structured curriculum that resembles traditional school systems. While Junior High School (JHS) education has evolved significantly, one fundamental principle remains: the child's first teacher is the parent.

Homeschooling offers numerous benefits, including a strengthened relationship between parent and child, along with a personalized educational experience. However, it may not be suitable for every JHS student.

A key consideration is the willingness of one or both parents to dedicate at least one hour each day to mentoring their teenagers. Even though the students may be capable of completing their school tasks independently, parental supervision and involvement are still important.
