A sentence that reminds us to fight for our country. A statement that carries responsibility and accountabilityโfor our freedom and for the sake of the Filipino people.
โ
โToday, we celebrate the 43๐ง๐ ๐ผ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐จ๐๐ง๐ฎ of the assassination of former ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ด๐ป๐ผ "๐ก๐ถ๐ป๐ผ๐" ๐๐พ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ผ ๐๐ฟ. Even though many opposed his ideals, the voices of the Filipino people did not fadeโthey rose. His unwavering commitment to his fellow countrymen inspired the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, where the cries of the people were finally heard and their call for democracy prevailed.
โ
โHis legacy reminds us that, in a world full of chaos, we should be the ones who step up and speak for our freedom. Let us remain rooted in the belief that the Philippines and the Filipino people are worth dying for, worth serving, and worth fighting for. We honor this legacy by becoming responsible citizensโstaying informed, being socially and politically aware, and choosing leaders who will work for the nation's future. After all, history is not only meant to be rememberedโit is meant to teach us. The question is: Have we learned from it, or have we allowed the fire to stand for what is right to ๐ง๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ?
