Freedom is more than a chapter in our historyโit is a legacy entrusted to every generation.
As we commemorate the ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ต ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐, the City College of Angeles pays tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the Filipinos who fought for our nation's sovereignty. Their unwavering commitment to freedom continues to inspire us to pursue excellence, uphold our values, and contribute to the development of our communities and our country.
Today, let us reflect on the meaning of independence in our daily livesโnot only as a right we enjoy, but as a responsibility to serve with integrity, lead with purpose, and work toward a brighter future for all Filipinos.
Together, let us honor our past, embrace the present, and help shape a nation worthy of the sacrifices of our heroes.

20th Batch to Complete STEP-UP Program: Dressmaking Training, Strengthening Skills of the Community.
The City College of Angeles (CCA), through its Community Extension Office (CEO), proudly celebrates the successful completion of the Specialized Training and Employment Program for Underprivileged Persons (STEP-UP) Dressmaking Training by 51 Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) students majoring in Food Service Management.
The training was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), L&T International Group Philippines, Inc. (Luenthai), and CCA. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering future educators with industry-relevant competencies that extend beyond their academic specialization, thereby enhancing their employability, entrepreneurship potential, and capacity to transfer practical skills to future learners.
During the completion ceremony, CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, represented by CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel Narciso, emphasized the importance of acquiring technical skills in todayโs competitive workforce. He encouraged the completers to maximize their newly acquired competencies as avenues for employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.
The participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity provided by the program.
Ivan Cura, one of the completers, shared that the training equipped them with more than just a certificate, but with a lifelong skill that can be shared and passed on to others.
Meanwhile, Raffiel Gueco acknowledged the support of CCA, CDC, and Luenthai in making the training accessible to individuals eager to learn and improve their livelihood opportunities.
Luenthai Vice President for Human Resources, Communications and Compliance Leo Benitez likewise inspired the participants to pursue continuous self-improvement, emphasizing that true success is measured by one's personal growth and commitment to excellence.
The latest batch represents the 20th group of STEP-UP completers, contributing to a total of 412 graduates since the program's inception in 2013. Originally established as a corporate social responsibility initiative for unemployed residents and out-of-school youth, STEP-UP has evolved into a sustainable workforce development program through the strong partnership among government agencies, private industry, and educational institutions.
CCA extends its sincere appreciation to CDC and Luenthai for their unwavering support in providing transformative learning opportunities for the community.
Through programs such as STEP-UP, the College continues to fulfill its mission of developing competent, skilled, and socially responsive individuals who can contribute meaningfully to community and national development

A Symbol of Pride: CCA Receives Philippine Flag from NHCP
The City College of Angeles (CCA) extends its deepest gratitude to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and the Museo ng Makasaysayang Panlipunan ng Pilipinas for their meaningful gift of the Philippine Flag and festive buntings.
The national symbols were officially received by Mr. Jonie Pangilinan, Head of the Center for Culture and the Arts, in preparation for the upcoming Philippine Independence Day celebration.
These colors do more than just decorate our campus, they remind us of the freedom we enjoy today and the rich history that binds us together. As they fly proudly over CCA, they serve as a daily inspiration for our students, faculty, and staff to live with patriotism, honor, and a deep love for our country.
Thank you, NHCP and the Museum of Philippine Social History, for partnering with us in keeping the spirit of independence alive in our community. Mabuhay!
