𝗔𝗚𝗛𝗔𝗠 | Bakuna: Panangga sa panganib na nagbabanta

Isa ito sa mga panlaban na maaari nating makamtan sa mapanghamong panahon, kasabgkapan na siyang mainam gamitin upang puksain ang panganib na makukuha sa paligid natin, bakuna na siyang magpapababa sa mga sakit na maitatala!

Kaakibat ang bakuna lalo na sa kalusugan ng mga bata kung kaya mahalagang malaman ang mga benepisyo nito. Ito ay matatamo sa pamamagitan ng programang Bakuna Eskuwela na idinaos sa Angeles City Science High School (ACSci) ngayong ikasiyam ng Hunyo, 2025.

Ang bakuna ay isang uri ng kasangkapang pangmedikal na siyang gamot kung ituturing dahil sa kakayahan nitong magbigay ng proteksyon mula sa mga sakit na dulot ng bacteria, virus, at infection upang maging handa ang katawan gamit ang antibodies na siyang pupuksa sa mga naturang sakit. Maisasagawa ito sa ilalim ng School-Based Immunization na naglalayong palakasin at bigyang-diin ang pagpapalakas sa resistensya ng tao.

Ang naturang programa ay nagbahagi ng iba't ibang mga dahilan kung bakit kinakailangang mabakunahan ang isang tao lalo na sa pagtaas ng bilang ng mga sakit, mikrobyo, impeksiyon, at dumi na maaaring makuja s akung saan-saan na kung tutuusin ay kailangan ng agarang lunas.

Saad ni Gng. Maria Rosanna S. Trinidad, ang nanguna sa naturang programa, "Kinakailangang hindi bababa sa 95% ang mga nabakunahan, upang masigurado na ligtas ang komunidad aa mga sakit, mainam na hindi lamang isa ang mabakunahan kundi ang lahat."

Bagaman ang bakuna ay ikinababahala ng nakararami dahil sa masakit na braso na dala nito, sa kabila ng pagsakit ng braso ay sinong mag-aakala na ito pala'y gumagawa ng paraan upang ang sakit ay malabanan?

Isa sa mga nilalabanan ng mga bakunang dala ng City Health Office (CHO) ng siyudad ng Angeles ay ang tigdas o measles na siyang dulot ng virus na nakahahawa sa pamamagitan ng mga sintomas gaya ng pagkabulag, pamamaga ng utak, impeksiyon sa mukha, at pneumonia. Kabilang din ang dipterya na siyang napapasa dahil sa bacteria sa hangin na nagbubunga ng pamamaga ng lalamunan at ang rubella o german measles na siyang kadalasang nangyayari sa mga sanggol na maaaring magdulot sa kanilang kamatayan.

Dagdag pa rito ay ang iba pang sakit na maihahalintulad sa mga nabanggit, gaya ng Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) na nagdudulot ng cervical cance at kalugo na matatagpuan sa ari ng babae o lalaki. Hindi malayo na kaugnay rin nito ang Human Immune deficiency Virus o HIV na nakukuja sa pakikipagtalik ng dalawang indibidwal. Isa rin ang tetanus at diptheria na pumapasok sa katawan ng tao sa pamamagitan ng mga hiwa o sugat sa katawan.

Ang mga naturang sakit ay maaaring mapasa sa pamamagitan ng simpleng pagbahing, pag-ubo, at pisikal na interaksyon ng mga taong apektado nito.

Gayunpaman, ang bakuna ay siyang paraan upang maiwasan ang mga panganib ng mga sakit na nagbabanta sa ating kalusugan. Hindi lamang ito ligtas, isa rin itong epektibong lunas.

Mahalaga na malaman ang kahalagahan ng bakuna, hindi lamang sa paaralan bagkus pati na rin sa ating bayan, upang masabi na tayo ay may laban. Ika nga ni Gng. Trinidad, "Ang sakit ay parang leon na mabangis, ito ay delikado, ngunit ito'y magiging maamong kuting kung ikaw ay bakunado!"

𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔 | ACSci Brigada Eskuwela '25: Bayanihan tungo sa maayos na paaralan

Opisyal na sinimulan ng Angeles City Science High School (ACSci) kasama ang iba't ibang organisasyon nito ang Brigada Eskuwela ngayong ikasiyam ng Hunyo bilang preparasyon sa papalapit na pasukan.

Kaantabay ang mga magulang, mag-aaral, at g**o ng ACSci ay sama-sama ang lahat sa paghahanda at paglilinis ng mga pasilidad na gagamitin para sa Taunang Pampaaralan 2025–2026.

Kabilang din sa layunin ng Brigada Eskuwela ang paghuhubog sa mga estudyante sa pagbasa na may layuning mapabuti ang kasanayan sa paglalahad at pag-intindi.

Kung kaya, nakapaloob ang mga nasabing gawain ng paaralan ngayong taon sa temang "Brigada Eskwela 2025: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa".

Sa kabilang banda, pinangunahan naman ni Gng. Maria Rosanna S. Trinidad ng Rural Health Unit III (RHU 3) ng Barangay Lourdes Sur East ang diskurso hinggil sa school-based immunization na umiikot sa kahalagahan ng pagpapabakuna ng mga mag-aaral.

Dagdag pa niya, ligtas at epektibo ang bakuna na ibibigay sa mga mag-aaral sapagkat dumaan ang mga ito sa masusing pag-aaral ng mga eksperto.

Bukod dito, kaugnay sa tema ng Brigada Eskuwela ngayong taon, isinagawa ang Brigada Pagbasa sa pamumuno ng ACSci Language Clubs, kasama ang Birtud at The Equilibrium, upang suriin ang husay at bilis ng mga mag-aaral pagdating sa pagbasa at pagsagot ng mga katanungan ukol sa lawak ng kanilang kaalaman.

Gayundin, patuloy pa rin ang pagsasagawa ng brigada eskwela hanggang sa ika-13 ng Hunyo sa mga paaralan, talo araw bago ang unang araw ng Taunang Pampaaralan.

𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐔𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝐀𝐂𝐒𝐜𝐢 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 ‘𝟐𝟓

Angeles City Science High School (ACSci) commences the first day of Brigada Ekswela with Grades 7, 8, and 11 students, along with their parents and guardians, coming together to prepare classrooms and facilities for the opening of School Year 2025 - 2026 on June 9, Monday.

Ms. Marjorie Lacson, the school principal II, gave a short orientation for the parents of incoming grade 11 students at ACSci’s covered court, emphasizing the importance of Brigada Eskwela and its role in learners’ development and comfort in school.

Following the orientation, advisers conducted classroom-based meetings per section to discuss school regulations, the updated school calendar, and the requirements for the academic year allowing parents to raise questions and concerns.

Parents and guardians actively participated in cleaning classrooms, hallways, and school facilities and voluntarily brought cleaning materials and donations to ensure a safe and clean environment for learners.

This year's Brigada Eskwela began with orientation and clean-up duties for Grades 7,8, and 11, followed by Grades 9, 10 and 12 on June 10, ACSci’s Clubs and Organizations on June 11, and will be concluded with the faculty staff on June 13.
