𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | The Chinese Language and Culture Society (CLCS) formally conducted its Transitory Meeting, marking the transition of leadership from the outgoing officers to the newly elected set of student leaders.
The program commenced with a call to order led by outgoing President Reynel Gonzales, officially opening the proceedings and gathering the members for the ceremonial transfer of responsibilities.
This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Julia Austria, the outgoing Vice President, who reflected on the journey of the outgoing officers throughout their term. She highlighted the challenges they overcame, the milestones they achieved, and the dedication they demonstrated in serving both the organization and its members.
A presentation of the organization’s accomplishments was then delivered by outgoing Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) Allaine Jeanele Bautista, showcasing the projects, programs, and achievements realized under the leadership of the outgoing administration.
Subsequently, Kimberly Garcia presented the newly elected officers, formally introducing the student leaders entrusted with continuing the mission and vision of CLCS.
One of the highlights of the event was the Bequeathal Ceremony, led by outgoing President Gonzales as the designated bequeathal officer. During the ceremony, the Scholar’s Brush was ceremonially passed on as a symbol of wisdom, leadership, and the enduring values upheld by the organization.
The turnover ceremony and signing of documents followed, during which Gonzales formally transferred the organization’s files and records to incoming President Ashelia Deang. The activity symbolized the official turnover of authority and responsibilities to the new administration.
Deang then delivered her acceptance message, expressing her gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in her leadership. She also conveyed her commitment to upholding the organization’s values and pursuing initiatives that will further strengthen CLCS and its members.
The program concluded with the closing remarks and adjournment led by Gonzales, who expressed his appreciation to the officers and members who contributed to the organization’s success and extended his best wishes to the incoming leadership as they embark on a new chapter for CLCS.
The incoming officers were elected through the CLCS Election conducted on June 2–3 via Google Forms. The electoral process was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws, ensuring a transparent and orderly selection of student leaders who will serve the organization for the incoming academic year.

In the spirit of transparency and accountability, the Chinese Language and Culture Society (CLCS) presents its Accomplishment Report for Academic Year 2025–2026, a reflection of a year filled with service, leadership, cultural promotion, community engagement, and growth.
This report tells the story of our journey, not only our successes and milestones, but also the challenges that shaped us along the way. Not everything was perfect, and there were moments when plans changed, mistakes were made, and obstacles arose. Yet through perseverance, teamwork, and a shared commitment to our mission, we continued to move forward.
As this report closes, so does the chapter of the batch 2025–2026 officers. We sign off with gratitude for every opportunity, challenge, lesson, and memory entrusted to us. May the next generation of CLCS leaders continue to build upon what has been started and lead the organization to even greater heights.

Students from the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English and Chinese Language Teaching (BSEd Eng-CLT) program in Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation (CI-AUF), along with Chinese students majoring in Filipino language studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), conducted a joint China-Philippines Youth Online Dialogue on June 1, aiming to foster academic and cultural exchange between Chinese and Filipino students.
Representing CI-AUF in the dialogue were Arvin Jay Billones, Carl Dowen Manguera, Julia Austria, and Marialyn Arcilla from BSEd Eng-CLT 4; Allaine Jeanele Bautista, Alliyah Joi Combs, Cindie Loraine Mañalac, Ellah Mae Pingul, and Jensen Troy Garramonte from BSEd Eng-CLT 2; and Marry Grace Tan from BSEd Eng-CLT 1.
During the virtual exchange hosted via Zoom, the participants exchanged insights on foreign language studies, centering on the theme “文明互鉴,青春同行” (Mutual Learning, Shared Future).
The students shared their experiences, study habits, and best practices, highlighting the shared commitment of both universities to strengthening cross-cultural connections among the language learners.
The exchange enabled Filipino students to gain insight into how Chinese students study the Filipino language and culture, while Chinese participants learned more about the experiences of Filipino learners studying the Chinese language.
One of the CI-AUF student participants, Allaine Bautista, imparted encouragement to fellow language learners: "My advice is to always take the first step. Learning a new language may seem difficult at first, but every small effort we put into our work and what we do counts. Be patient, stay consistent, and especially don't be afraid to make mistakes, because it's part of the learning process. As long as we keep learning, we’ll eventually see our progress."
The online dialogue highlights CI-AUF’s commitment to promoting global engagement and cross-cultural exchange, providing their students with opportunities to broaden their perspectives beyond the classroom.
