PCAP Regional Chapter 3 Extends Relief Assistance to Flood-Affected Families in Pampanga
The Professional Criminologists Association, Regional Chapter 3, successfully conducted a relief operation for families affected by the combined effects of the typhoon and the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, in Barangay San Agustin, San Simon, Pampanga.
The humanitarian initiative was undertaken amid the declaration of a state of calamity throughout Pampanga, where several communities continue to experience severe flooding. In some of the hardest-hit areas, including portions of San Luis, floodwaters reportedly rose above waist level, disrupting livelihoods and forcing residents to evacuate their homes.
Through prior coordination with the Punong Barangay and Criminology Graduate RJ Sebaria, the Regional Council identified approximately 200 affected individuals and families as beneficiaries of the assistance. The relief packages included food supplies, hygiene essentials, medicines, and pre-loved clothing to help address the evacueesโ immediate needs.
Regional Governor Rhem Rick Corpuz personally joined the relief operation, together with PCAP Pampanga Chapter Chancellor Leslie DC Cuevo, Chapter Secretary Rica Jane Ronquilio, and Vice Chancellor Remmark Corpuz. Their presence demonstrated the associationโs collective commitment to responsive leadership, community service, and humanitarian action during emergencies.
The activity reflects PCAPโs continuing commitment to assist vulnerable communities and provide meaningful support to individuals and families experiencing hardship during these trying times. Beyond professional development and the advancement of the criminology profession, the association recognizes its broader social responsibility to promote public welfare, solidarity, and compassionate service.
PCAP Regional Chapter 3 also called upon fellow registered criminologists, partner organizations, and concerned individuals to support its continuing relief initiatives. Additional assistance will allow the association to reach more flood-affected communities and provide essential supplies to families who remain in urgent need.
As relief operations continue, PCAP Regional Chapter 3 reaffirms that the criminology profession is not only dedicated to public safety and justice but is equally committed to standing with communities in times of crisis.
