📢 OFFICIAL UPDATE FOR REGISTERED CRIMINOLOGISTS

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has resumed the requirement for the Certificate of Good Standing (COGS) in the renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PICs) for Registered Criminologists, effective 17 March 2026.

This development follows the renewed accreditation of the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) as the recognized Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO).

🔍 Key Points:
• Submission of COGS is now mandatory again for PIC renewal
• Applications filed during the suspension period (Feb 24–March 17, 2026) will still be processed without COGS
• No retroactive compliance will be imposed

📌 This is consistent with RA 11131, which mandates AIPO certification as proof of active membership.

All concerned criminology professionals are advised to coordinate with PCAP for the issuance of their COGS to avoid delays in renewal.

ACCREDITATION OF THE PROFESSIONAL CRIMINOLOGISTS ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. AS THE ACCREDITED INTEGRATED PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR CRIMINOLOGISTS (PCAP)

Pursuant to Section 8, Rule 3, Annex B of Commission Resolution No. 1910 (s. 2024), otherwise known as the "2024 Revised Guidelines on the Accreditation of Professional Organizations and Integrated Professional Organizations," the Petition for Renewal of Accreditation of the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAP) as the Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) for Criminologists is hereby APPROVED.

Accordingly, PCAP shall continue to serve as the Accredited Integrated Professional Organization for all registered Criminologists in the Philippines, subject to the provisions of the applicable rules, regulations, and policies of the Professional Regulation Commission.

To all Criminologists who requested a Certificate of Good Standing (COGS) and submitted their application forms on or before December 21, 2025, please check your email for your e-COGS or a Pending Notice regarding your request.

Applicants who received a Pending Notice are kindly requested to reply to the email and submit the correct or complete documents required to fully process the application.

Please be advised that our office will be closed from December 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Regular operations will resume on January 5, 2026.
