ChemWeek 2025: Chemistry Career Talks – Chemistry in the Age of AI (18 Feb 2025)

In celebration of the Chemistry Week 2025, ICP will host a webinar featuring chemists from the academe, industry and government services who will provide short and inspiring talks of their careers and insights on the impact of AI in their workplace and on the Chemistry Profession in general. Attendees will be welcomed to the ICP fold by ICP President, Fabian Dayrit, Ph.D. RhC and will meet the members of the PRC Board of Chemistry: Adoracion P. Resurreccion, PhD, RCh; Soledad S. Castañeda, PhD, RCh, Ma. Theresa C. Cayton, MSc, RCh. Our featured speaker is former ICP Board of Director Secretary, Atty. Ma. Cristina Moratalla, RCh who will present on the Chemistry Profession Act and Ethical Standards in the Age of AI.

Proposed Amendment of the ICP Constitution

In view of the recent developments in the field of Chemistry in the Philippines, the ICP has initiated the proposed amendments to the ICP Constitution to update and align its provisions to the current needs of the professional practice of Chemistry in the Philippines. Ratification of the proposed ICP Constitution shall be conducted through a referendum to be participated by all regular ICP members in good standing. To allow members the opportunity to review the draft ICP Constitution, posted is a copy of the current ICP Constitution and the proposed amendments thereon.
