Do you know when man discovered he is a human? It was when he realized that he cared for others, not just for himself.

It is on this note that we anchor our forthcoming party to celebrate our dual citizenship. It is a party that will not just celebrate an important milestone in our loves, but more about how we can become MORE for others.

The average life span of Filipinos as of 2024-2025 is 71 to 72 years. Assuming we are blessed to live to 72 years, that will be 4,380 days to go. Or 624 weeks. Or 144 months. Imagine that --- 144 months to go. How do we want our lives to be remembered? How do we want to spend the rest of our earthly life? What legacy do you want to leave?

So, let's prepare for this very special party to celebrate our individual lives. The Batch's past and current presidents are putting a lot of effort and resources to make this party magical, memorable, and meaningful.

Tickets will be out soon. Start scouting for the best Traditional Filipiniana to wear on that special night. And start informing and inviting other batch mates about this event.

This is to inform our batch mates that another member passed away last Saturday due to cancer.

Her remains lie in state at Pangilinan Memorial Chapels. The interment is set for Wednesday, Dec. 14, afternoon.

Let us include her and her family in our prayers.

MESSAGE FROM FR. ED DE LEON:

Peace be with you.

The San Rafael Arkanghel Parish, San Rafael, Macabebe, Pampanga has been beset by constant flooding like the many major parts of Macabebe, where in last year the church itself has been flooded for more than 8 months, nary a day within those period that has none. The good news was that the parishioners were flocking the masses despite the uncomfortability, difficulty, and thd threats of deseases the murky waters can cause.

The bad news was that its pathetic stance cannot be ignored, where houses are being gloriously modified and the roads being piled up. The church that stands as the house of God and the path of salvation was being left behind, seemingly unattended and cared for.

The church needed rehabilitation. It is exhilirating and inspiring that people of faith responded and in the true Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” shared generously not from their excess but from from their essence. People not belonging from the parish and Catholics with no Macabebe roots lent their kind giving from their hearts. Other than monetary support, many stormed the heavens with prayers so storms may not sink the church anymore.

The church is halfway in its reconstruction. The gathered funds were all consumed for this holy endeavor. To finish what has been started, we once again knock to your empathy to help us fund the fruition and completion of SRAP place of worship.

God is the power to propel and foment the fiery spirit of making the church rise from its drowned condition. The faithful are the vessels.

God needs us to be the channel of his grace. You are chosen by God.

And to you we humbly seek help, all for the glory of God.

Help the San Rafael Arkanghel Parish. Help the church. Help us. Marakal pung salamat at panupaya yu pu ing kekaming paralampu.

Apung Paeng, ipanalangin mu kami.

Our batch mate, Emy Maghinang-Reyes is asking for your generous assistance. She did not take the prescribed medications during her first treatment for cancer as directed by the physician because of lack of funds. Thus, she is now asking for our support to help her sustain her scheduled treatment plan (6 months). She has managed to take care of the first three months already due to her resourcefulness. She is now asking us to help her in the last 3 months of her medication.

May God, who cannot be outdone with His generosity, bless you a thousandfold.

Do you believe in the power of prayers?

Prayers are most efficient when said for others. As such, I invite you to pray for everyone and everything. But for this post in our FB page, let's all pray for those batch mates undergoing trials, pains, and sickness.

In the comment section below, please write down all the batch mates you know who need our prayers. And let's pray for them until we hear from them that they are well and okay.

May God bless us all.

Today is World Perimenopause Day

"Perimenopause can begin when a woman is in her early to mid 40’s, typically 2-10 years before their periods stop. Some major symptoms include period changes, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disruption, weight gain, low mood, stress, anxiety, and even joint aches. Women often attribute their symptoms to something they may be doing wrong, or another cause, leading millions of women on a global scale to suffer in silence and isolation, with little to no direction on which way to turn. When the day-to-day becomes challenging, it can be a huge relief for women to join the dots and understand the connection between their symptoms and their midlife hormone fluctuations"
