Angeles City, Philippines โ The Holy Angel University School of Computing (HAU SOC) continues to strengthen its position as the countryโs premier institution for cybersecurity education as four of its faculty members successfully earned the Certified Cybersecurity Educator Professional (CCEP) credential, a rapidly emerging certification that recognizes both advanced cybersecurity competence and excellence in teaching the discipline.
The faculty members who passed the certification examination are:
1. Marlon Tayag
2. Avigail P. Magbag
3. Dr. Everly Chua
4. Jovencio Elica
The CCEP certification validates mastery across key cybersecurity domains such as ethical hacking, network defense, identity and access management, cloud security, application security, incident response, and security operations. It also highlights the educatorsโ capability to design and deliver effective cybersecurity trainingโan essential feature for institutions offering specialized computing programs.
Holy Angel Universityโs School of Computing has long been recognized as the #1 and premier provider of cybersecurity education in the Philippines, and this new achievement reinforces its commitment to delivering world-class, industry-aligned instruction.
HAU SOC Dean Marlon Tayag, one of the CCEP passers, highlighted the significance of the certification for the institution. โCybersecurity evolves every day. Certifications like the CCEP ensure that our faculty remain at the forefront of cybersecurity education and training, enabling us to provide students with relevant, skills-based learning aligned with global industry standards,โ he said.
With four faculty members now holding the CCEP credential, the School of Computing is expected to further elevate its hands-on laboratory activities, cyber range simulations, and real-world cybersecurity exercises, strengthening student readiness for roles in both the local and international cybersecurity sectors.
The achievement also underscores HAUโs commitment to producing highly skilled cybersecurity graduates capable of addressing emerging digital threatsโa priority as organizations worldwide confront increasing cyber risks.
The School of Computing continues to invest in faculty development, research, and state-of-the-art cyber range infrastructure, reinforcing its mission to lead cybersecurity education in the Philippines and the ASEAN region.
