As a rice-eating country, we cannot afford to lose our primary food producers: the farmers. Now is the time to listen to their thoughts and opinions. If not now, then when?

Rice is part of Filipinos' culture, let's give importance to our agriculture.

The farmers never fail to work on our society that do their part as a worker woke up early in the morning to start their work on the land. We fellow filipinos don't how hard it is to plant the sweat and body pain we don't experience, they worked hard to eat but they also have nothing to eat.

There are other essential professions and industries we'll be needing in life, but what do we need and consume each day to function properly? The produce of our farmers. Other sectors have sufficient support, while our agriculture is being overlooked. We need to show how significant this sector is because they provide one of the essential needs of a human being.

They nourish us, so we should nourish them.

Underappreciated, unheard, and neglected—farming is a job with high importance equivalent to other professional work; it is sad to think that most people fail to acknowledge their worth despite being producers of one of the country’s most basic needs.

Learn to appreciate our farmers more. They deserve a better life.
