In effect of Proclamation No. 109, s. 1936, the week of 24-30 November of each year was declared “National Book Week”. With the leadership of the Philippine Librarians Association Inc., the National Library of the Philippines (NLP), and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS), the chosen theme of this year’s celebration will be “Magbasa, Mangarap, Magdiwang”.

The chosen theme reflects the value of books and reading for the betterment of the nation and our future.

Through reading materials especially locally published, everyone will get to know more of their Filipino identity and how they can shape themselves for the future of their beloved nation. The weeklong celebration will showcase the vast value of reading in every Filipino’s life with the help of active publishing, writers, libraries, and librarians.

As a participation in this celebration, the HFA IMC has prepared activities and contests that aim to convey the values of this national celebration to their students.

🔔 Attention Students! 🔔

📚 IMC Clearance Requirements Reminder 📚

As the school year comes to an end, here's a friendly reminder regarding your IMC clearance:

1️⃣ Please ensure that all accounts with the Instructional Media Center (IMC) have been cleared of any outstanding balances, including paid fines and replaced lost materials.

2️⃣ Don't forget to bring your IMC-ID with you, ensuring it's readily accessible for verification.

📅 Also, a quick reminder:

1️⃣ For Grade 10 and 12 students: Remember, your last borrowing of library materials should be no later than March 22, 2024.

2️⃣For Grades 7, 8, 9, & 11 students: Your final borrowing should be completed no later than April 3, 2024.

👥 Additionally, it is recommended that the whole class process their clearance signing together. Just ensure that the class president collects everyone's IMC-IDs and presents them during the clearance signing.🙂
