Angeles University Foundation joins the Archdiocese of San Fernando and the Kapampangan faithful in celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Virgen de los Remedios, Patroness of Pampanga.
This yearโ€™s celebration takes on a deeper meaning as it unfolds during the Season of Creation, a time when the Church calls us to renew our relationship with God, with one another, and with all creation. Inspired by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, the celebration embraces intentional simplicity and solidarity under the theme:
Mother of Remedies, Queen of Peace
In the midst of the recent flooding and hardships experienced by many Kapampangans, devotion to our beloved Indu becomes a concrete expression of faith, charity, stewardship, and malasakit. In keeping with the Archdioceseโ€™s call for a simpler and more meaningful celebration, resources are being directed toward relief and humanitarian efforts for affected families.
On September 8, 2026 (Tuesday), the AUF community will celebrate the Solemnity of the Virgen de los Remedios with a Eucharistic Celebration at 10:00 AM in the Our Lady of Grace Chapel. All Angeleneans are invited to come together in prayer and thanksgiving. Mass collections and voluntary donations will be forwarded to the Social Action Center of Pampanga (SACOP) in support of families and communities affected by the recent calamities.
The Archdiocesan celebration will likewise take place at the Repository Chapel of the Virgen de los Remedios, Arzobispado de Pampanga, City of San Fernando, with Masses throughout the day. The reenactment of the Canonical Coronation will take place at 3:00 PM, together with the Holy Mass to be presided over by Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias, D.D., Archbishop of San Fernando. The celebration will be livestreamed through the official page of the Archdiocese.
As we honor Mary, Indu ning Capaldanan, may we learn from her to bring Christโ€™s healing and peace to those who suffer, and to become faithful stewards of the home God has entrusted to us.
Virgen de los Remedios, Indu ning Capaldanan, ipanalangin mu kami.

AUF and JCI Angeles City Culiat: A Legacy of Leadership and Service

For generations, Angeles University Foundation and JCI Angeles City Culiat have shared a common purposeโ€”to develop leaders who serve, inspire, and create positive change.

As AUF celebrates its 65th Anniversary and JCI Angeles City Culiat prepares to mark its 75th Anniversary in 2027, we proudly recognize the Angeleneans who have helped shape the organization's rich legacy of leadership and service.

Among those who paved the way were Dr. Emmanuel Y. Angeles, (1967-1968) -- AUF CHANCELLOR EMERITUS and Dr. Antonio Y. Angeles+ (1973-1974 / 1977-1978), who served as Past Presidents of the chapter. Their example inspired generations of young Angeleneans to embrace leadership not only as a responsibility, but as a way to serve others.

Over the years, many Angeleneans have continued this proud legacy of leadership and service. Among them are 1997โ€“1998 President JCI Sen. Rafael Angeles, who served at AUF Publishing House, and 2019 President JCI Sen. Ma. Joyce V. Macaspac of the Office of Alumni Affairs and Placement Services.

More Angeleneans have also gone on to lead JCI Angeles City Culiat as Presidents, including JCI Sen. Christopher Almo, JCI Sen. Catherine Magtoto-So, JCI Mem. Paulita Gomez, and JCI Mem. Voltaire Benjamin Chuaโ€”each contributing to the organization's continuing tradition of leadership, camaraderie, and service.

JCI Angeles City Culiat is more than an organizationโ€”it is a community. It brings together people from different schools, professions, industries, generations, and backgrounds. For many Angeleneans, it becomes a place to learn the true meaning of camaraderie: working with people who may be different from you, yet united by one purposeโ€”to serve.

Beyond our differences, we learn to listen, collaborate, build friendships, and grow together.

This spirit reflects both AUF's mission of the Total Development of Man and Humanity and the JCI Values-- that โ€œService to Humanity is the Best Work of Life.โ€

Through the years, AUF has been a proud "katuwang" of JCI Angeles City Culiat in meaningful initiatives that serve communitiesโ€”from medical missions, sports medical support and leadership programs to environmental and mental health advocacies.

Today, a new generation of Angeleneans continues the journey as officers, directors, members, and Baby Jayceesโ€”proving that the legacy of service continues.

Different backgrounds. Different stories. One community. One purpose.

Together, we continue to serve, inspire, and strive for one goal:

To Be Better.
We Want to Recognize You!
