BENEDICITE | HEADS UP, EVERYONE! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Our province is not spared from severe flooding due to continuous heavy rains. Many of our families and partner communities have been displaced and are in urgent need of our help.

The Community Involvement โ€“ Holy Family Academy (HFA-SCIP) Volunteers are now accepting donations of the following:

FOOD ITEMS
โ€ข Rice, canned goods, dried fish, dried mongo/beans
โ€ข Bottled/drinking water
โ€ข Cooking oil, coffee, milk, and sugar
โ€ข Biscuits, bread, and energy bars
โ€ข Ready-to-eat meals

NON-FOOD ITEMS
โ€ข Cooking and eating utensils, basins, and pails
โ€ข Clothes (new or gently used), blankets, and towels
โ€ข Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush)
โ€ข Sanitary pads and baby/adult diapers
โ€ข Medicines (e.g., paracetamol) โ€” please check expiry dates
โ€ข Flashlights, batteries, candles, and matches

The HFA Institutional Research Office officially announces that the call for research and action research proposals is now open. We invite all our current HFA teachers, non-teaching personnel, and administrators to participate and submit their research proposals.

Today, we commemorate the life and teachings of St. Benedict of Nursia, who encouraged his followers to seek God through a life of prayer, work, and learning. St. Benedict did not teach us to settle for what has always been. He taught us to listen attentively, work faithfully, and seek wisdom with humility. Just as St. Benedict sought truth through a life of reflection and discipline, may we also seek truth through careful inquiry and evidence.

May we live out Ora et Labora by conducting research that serves the goodness of our community.

Dear Research Leader...โœ๏ธ

First of all, I would like to say that I admire your courage. Whether you volunteered or were picked by Ma'am or Sir, the mere fact that you silently and bravely said "yes" to the challenge means that you're committed to leading a journey of meaningful inquiry.

The path to the summit of this uphill adventure is no easy feat. That's a reality I wouldn't want to sugarcoat. There will be times when the distinction between weekdays and weekends becomes blurry. Sleep and rest may feel like words that are part of your vocabulary, but contain no meanings. Many days will be both rough and tough. Some days will bring you excitement and joy, while other days will test your patience and resilience.

The weight of identifying and finalizing a research topic, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, coordinating with your research adviser and panelists, editing your paper, preparing for the ODs, and meeting deadlines may drain every ounce of your energy. Though the experience may be tiresome, embrace still these hurdles with grace and believe that every obstacle is another step forward.

As uncertain and demanding as the road may seem, pour your heart into the journey because you are leading a cause that will bring change and impact in our community. Stand proud, for you will become a catalyst of change. You will spark the light of curiosity and lead the way toward certainties.

And when the days become especially difficult, always remember that you are never alone. You have your groupmates, your teacher, your family, your pet, and your friends beside you! Never feel that you have to carry every burden on your own. You have us, and we've got you! Believe that you and your groupmates can finish this research because this journey is not only about fulfilling a requirement, it is about contributing something that can make life better for others.

Hold your head high, dear research leader! Being chosen as a research leader is a testament to your immeasurable skills and dependable leadership. We look forward to the day where your tears of exhaustion turn into tears of joy as you can finally say, "Research Defended!" ๐ŸŽ‡๐Ÿคฉ
