The lack of representation of people of color over the past few years has been altering beauty standards. As the world of today moves at a fast pace, change is inevitable, but how do we take part in ensuring that this change is for the better? Magbaláue is a Kapampangan word for an advocate of positive change. This beautiful word is recognized by a group of Biology students to be a fitting description of themselves. As they witness the world change, yet also study how to understand it from the microscopic lens, from the bird’s eye view, and from a life-oriented perspective, their will to advocate for positive change grows.
