It was such a meaningful experience to share stories, connect with people, and celebrate World Bee Day with a community that promotes sustainability, creativity, and local businesses.

In a move to support youth, advocacy, and community organizations, the NU Clark alongside 6 Organizations are set to explore partnership co-creating or co-implementing community project pitches from yesterday’s Kayabe Volunteer Summit, January 28.

Angat Pampanga, Makiramdam, The Playhouse Project, Project Bente Organization Inc., Envision Pampanga and the Gordon College NSRC have expressed their intent to explore partnership with NU Clark leading to the signing of respective MOUs.

This significant step to collaborate with Community Organizations will open new opportunities to stakeholders, the Kapampangan Community.

With this, NU Clark will find ways to institutionally support these advocacy projects which may come from resource to volunteer mobilization significantly benefitting the projects to either be scaled wider, accommodating more communities in the future, or for additional human resource rendering expertise-based service.

We are deeply honored to be part of the first-ever Kayabe Volunteer Summit, where MAKIRAMDAM was recognized as Best Community Project Pitch.

This experience affirmed our mission of using storytelling as a tool for emotional literacy, empathy, and mental well-being, especially for young Filipinos whose stories often go unheard.

We are truly grateful po and excited for the possibility of a meaningful partnership and future collaborations!! Nawa ay marami pang bata ang mapakinggan at masamahan sa pamamagitan po ng mga proyektong magagawa natin.

Makiramdam is awarded as the Best Community Project Pitch in the first-ever Kayabe Volunteer Summit of NU Clark, January 28.

Project MAKIRAMDAM is a community-centered initiative that uses storytelling as a tool to support the emotional, social, and cognitive development of young Filipinos. The young Filipinos emotional literacy, empathy, and mental well-being remain underserved despite growing evidence that a significant portion of Filipino youth have already experienced mental health problems, such as academic pressure, family problems, insecurities, bullying, and many more. There have also been many cases of young Filipinos experiencing domestic abuse and sexual exploitation. But the most alarming part is that these very same young Filipinos who are experiencing this have no idea what's happening to them. ​

In a testament of commitment and solidarity, the KVS will look for ways to adopt and collaborate with all participants in the Project Pitching Activity through a signing of Memorandum of Understanding between NU Clark and all Participating Organizations.
