In times when the rains may wash away roads, homes, and livelihoods, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 – 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗜𝗘𝗔𝗦-𝗜𝗦𝗖), together with the six Program-Based Organizations under IEAS, launches “𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐘𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐄𝐀𝐒”—a donation drive dedicated to extending a helping hand to CCA students affected by the heavy rains and flooding, as well as other communities in need.

This initiative is made possible through the collective efforts of:

• 𝗦𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 (𝗦𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗣)

This donation drive is conducted in 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗢) to provide assistance to members of the CCA community and other individuals and communities affected by the recent heavy rains and flooding.

Today, let us pause and look back at the courage, selflessness, and sacrifice of the Filipino heroes who defined our history, and fought for our freedom. We pay tribute not only to the heroes of the past, but also to the modern heroes of today.

From teachers leading the youth, to workers persevering through hardships, to farmers sustaining our communities, and volunteers extending their hands in times of crisis.

Just like José Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, and all of our heroes, their legacy is a reminder that 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, it is about 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, and the 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. Because real heroes are the ones who bind the nation together, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨.

𝙊𝙣𝙚, 𝙩𝙬𝙤, 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚... 𝙋𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙒! 😄✌️📸

On August 26, Japanese students from 𝗘𝗚 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 visited the City College of Angeles and experienced Filipino traditions once again by preparing a Filipino delicacy called "𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙬."

Our esteemed program coordinator, Sir Jusfer U. Sarsoza, together with the IEAS Dean, Dr. Levita De Guzman, endorsed the visit. In collaboration with our supportive instructor, 𝙈𝙨. 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙞𝙖 𝙉𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙊𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙤, who led the cooking activity and shared insights about the dish, and our diligent 3𝙧𝙙 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘽𝙏𝙑𝙏𝙀𝘿 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 from 𝗧𝗘 𝟯𝟬𝟯, who showcased the procedure and exhibited their enthusiasm for varied educational opportunities. Additionally, with the assistance also of our BTVTED faculty members Mr. Calvin Yuzon, Mr. Arjay Cabrera, and Mr. Jonel Haber.
