MEET OUR SPEAKER:
RACHEL RED-AMPARO, PHD
Dr. Rachel Red Amparo is a pioneering leader in educational therapy and special education in the Philippines.
She founded the Professional Organization of Filipino Educational Therapists (PROFET), Teacher Red Educational Therapy Services (TRETS), Red Owl Educational Therapy Services (ROETS), and co-founded Brainworks School.
She also serves as the founding president of the Council of Reading Intervention Specialists (CORIS) and the Philippine Society of Special Education Teachers (PHILSSET).
With a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (Special Education), a Master’s in Reading from UP Diliman, an MA in Educational Management, and a PhD in Educational Leadership, Dr. Amparo is highly credentialed.
She is a well rounded educator who has trained in specialized methods such as Orton-Gillingham, The Slingerland Approach, Singapore Math, Reggio Emilia, Yoga for the Special Child, and The Project Approach, among others - demonstrating her commitment to advancing inclusive practices and support for educators and therapists in the Philippines.
