English Club will be developing English learning programs that will help students to have common knowledge in language and literature. The English Group will hold a variety of activities during the year, such as writing competition and games. Thus students can learn to communicate, to cooperate with other people and in addition to enrich their life experience.

Step into a world of creativity, imagination, and unforgettable characters! English Department proudly presents 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄, an exciting cosplay event with the theme “𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑻𝒐 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆” 📚🎨

Students get to showcase their creativity by transforming into some of their favorite characters from anime, games, movies, and other fictional worlds! 🌌🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️ From carefully prepared costumes to amazing poses and performances, every participant brings something unique to the event. 👏✨

SEPTEMBER 9, 2026 — The induction ceremony for club officers, organized and led by the Supreme Secondary Learners’ Government. The English Club proudly took part in the event, showing great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, lead, and grow alongside the school community.

With this ceremony, the club officers are now officially installed and ready to serve. They pledged to faithfully carry out their duties as officers while also giving proper attention to their academic responsibilities.

As stated by our Honorable Guest Speaker, Mayor Reynante “Jowar” S. Bautista “Leadership is not about being the boss — it is about embracing responsibility and upholding accountability."

ɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ʟɪᴛᴇʀᴀᴄʏ ᴡᴇᴇᴋ📚📖

Literacy is foundational to every person’s basic human rights—it is how we express our freedom, rights, and sense of citizenship. It nurtures critical thinking, helping us share accurate, well-reasoned information.

From September 2–8 we observe National Literacy Week in line with DepEd Memorandum No. 072, s. 2019 from the Literacy Coordinating Council and Presidential Proclamation No. 239, s. 1993. This also aligns with International Literacy Day on September 8 under the theme “Promoting literacy in the digital era.”

This yearly celebration raises awareness of literacy’s vital role in society, especially for learners. It highlights the value of reading, writing, and numeracy—alongside DepEd’s programs that support every Filipino student.

The Election Day held on June 11 at Pres. Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial High School was conducted successfully and in an orderly manner. Deep appreciation goes to our advisers, Mr. Miguel Arcangel Lazaro, Mrs. Kyra Camia C. Dela Cruz and a teacher from english department, Mrs. Charlene S. Castro, who supervised the selection of our officers and ensured a fair and transparent process. With their guidance, we aim to serve not only with dedication but also with honesty and respect.

This event highlighted the students’ sense of responsibility, commitment, and active involvement in choosing leaders who will truly represent and serve their fellow students.

May you lead with purpose and unity. We also extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated, cooperated, and supported this activity to make it a great success.

The Synchronized Reading event was held on November 27, 2025, at 8:30 AM in the Pres. Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial High School Covered Court.

The program opened with the national anthem led by the English Club's president, Jabez Jared B. Almazan and a prayer led by Paul Brent SP. Santos. Dr. Virginia S. San Gabriel delivered the opening remarks, followed by a message from Ms. Irish Ann C. Labonete. Mrs. Kristal SM. Bernardo introduced the Mystery Reader, after which the synchronized reading took place in both Filipino and English, led by Ms. Mary Rose G. Asia and Mrs. Aileen C. Santos.

This inspiring activity comes to life through the dynamic leadership of our passionate English Chairperson Ma’am Rhea T. Fernandez and Filipino Chairperson Ma’am Kristal S. M. Bernardo, empowered by the unwavering support of our School Principal IV Dr. Virginia S. San Gabriel and Assistant Principal II Sir Ronald C. Mendoza.
