21st Bulacan and Provincial Scouts Jamboree

"Scouting is building boys and girls to be reliable and independent men and women."

BNHS Scouts perform camaraderie, independency and brotherhood. Despite of the days when rain poured scouts share an unforgettable, chaotic but fun experience that will surely be treasure for a lifetime.

Isang malugod na pasasalamat sa lahat ng nagbahagi ng tulong, suporta, at panahon para maisakatuparan ang mga programa ng scouts sa naganap ng 21st Jamboree. Hiindi magiging matagumpay ang mga aktibidad kung hindi dahil sa bukas ninyong mga palad. At higit sa lahat, walang skawting kung wala kayo.

Know Yourself More

Ang buhay ay isang paglalakbay ng walang katapusang pagtuklas at pagkilala ng iyong sarili. Diyan sa iyong trabaho mayroon bang mga gawaing dati ay hindi mo akalaing kaya mo pala pero ngayon ay gamay na gamay mo na? You are never too wise to gain new insights, never too old to learn new skills, never too late to know yourself more.

Magandang araw, ako si Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides para sa Protips, partner mo sa inspiradong trabaho at negosyong umaasenso.

Nasa kolehiyo na ako nang matuto akong magbisikleta. May anak na ako ng magkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob na magmaneho sa Metro Manila. I was in my mid-thirties when I realized that I can write a book. At ngayong mahigit kwarenta na ako, nadiskubre kong kaya ko palang gumuhit. Life is an endless journey of learning, growing and discovering. Ano nga ba ang mga balakid sa pagtuklas at pagkilala ng higit sa iyong sarili?

1) Know-It-All Attitude. Ang pag-aakalang alam mo na ang lahat ay hindi katalinuhan, ito'y tanda ng pagiging sarado ang isipan. In our lifetime, it is not possible to know everything. Kahit si Haring Solomon na itinuring na wisest ruler in the world ay hindi naman nagkaroon ng pagkakataong malaman ang lahat ng bagay. Marunong pa siyang mag-Facebook o mag-Instagram? Obvious naman na hindi dahil hindi na siya nabubuhay para matutunan ang mga ito. When you start thinking that you already know everything about yourself, hindi ka nagiging bukas para tuklasin pa ang iyong mga potential at nakatagong kakayahan. The first important step to knowing more is to accept that you do not know everything.

2) The Fear of Trying. Marami ang hindi na lumago ang pagkilala sa sarili at pagtuklas ng kanilang mga kakayahan dahil sa takot. Takot mabigo, takot mapagtawanan, takot na masaktan. Mayroon bang atletang hindi nasasaktan? In order for them to develop strength and endurance, kailangang nilang mag-ensayo araw-araw. Nariyan ang may nadadapa, nagkaka-sprain, nagagalusan, napapaltusan. Pain is always part of growing and maturing. Kaya nga tinawag na "growing pains" di ba? Set-aside your fears and embark on an exciting journey of knowing yourself more.

3) Being too Busy. Ang kawalan ng panahon at pagiging abala sa napakaraming bagay ay malaking hadlang para kilalaning higit ang iyong sarili. Good relationships don't happen by accident. You make time for it. Ang mga nagliligawan, nagbibigay sila ng oras para higit na kilalanin ang isa't-isa. Pahalagahan mo ang iyong sarili sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng panahon para higit mong makilala ang sarili mo. Marami ang abala para gayahin ang itsura, pananamit o pagkilos ng ibang tao pero walang panahon para kilalanin ang sarili. Ang sabi ng batikang aktres na si Judy Garland na nakilala sa kanyang pagganap bilang Dorothy sa Wizard of Oz, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else."

There is more to life than who you are now and what you can do now. Tuklasin ang mga talento at kakayahang ibinigay sa iyo ng Diyos. Let's not be too busy to find out what God has wired us to do.

Avoid strenuous activities: Try to avoid exercising or doing other strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day. 7. Eat light, cold meals: Eat light, cold meals such as salads or sandwiches instead of heavy, hot meals that can make you feel even hotter. 8. Check on vulnerable individuals: Make sure to check on elderly neighbors, those with chronic medical conditions, or others who may be more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.
