💡KEEPING CSMA'S CORE VALUES ALIVE: Psychosocial Orientation and Independence Day Celebration

Last June 11, the CSMA Family began with a vibrant celebration of the Philippine Independence Day, where students showcased their talents through various performances, including sabayang pagbigkas, cultural dances, and musical presentations. Each performance served as a tribute to the rich history, courage, and resilience of the Filipino people, reminding us of the sacrifices that paved the way for the freedom we enjoy today.

More than a celebration of nationhood, the program reflected two of CSMA's core values: Ardor and Service. As Filipinos, we are called to honor our heritage with passion and gratitude, while dedicating ourselves to serving our communities and our nation with integrity and purpose. Through their performances, Monicans demonstrated that the spirit of patriotism continues to burn brightly in the hearts of the youth.

In the latter part of the day, students participated in a Psychosocial Orientation titled “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully!”. It focused on bullying awareness and prevention. Through insightful discussions, the High School Department explored the different forms of bullying, its effects on individuals and communities, and the ways it can manifest in everyday interactions.

The orientation served as a meaningful reminder that every Monican is called to embody Christ Centeredness and Mindfulness. As children of God, we are encouraged to treat one another with kindness, respect, and compassion. In a world where words and actions can greatly impact others, we are challenged to be mindful of what we say and do, choosing always to uplift rather than harm.

Through both celebration and reflection, Monicans were reminded that true excellence is not measured solely by achievement, but by the values we uphold and the character we cultivate each day.

As we continue this academic year, may we remain steadfast in living out the CSMA Core Values, becoming responsible citizens, faithful disciples, and true Lights of the World.

🕊️ THANKSGIVING AND FAITH

Last Thursday, the Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat community gathered in an Institutional Thanksgiving Mass to mark the beginning of a new academic year. The Holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Christian Kim Mariano, who led the community in offering prayers of thanksgiving and seeking God's guidance for the year ahead.

As part of the celebration, the faculty and staff of CSMA received a special blessing, together with the school's buildings and facilities, entrusting the entire institution to God's loving care and protection.

May this academic year be filled with wisdom, growth, unity, and countless blessings as we continue our journey of faith and excellence under the guidance of the Lord and St. Monica.

📚✏️ LEARNING BEGINS AT CSMA!

As the first day of the Instructional Block commenced, the Junior High School Monicans took the GRACE PASS Pre-Test, marking the beginning of another meaningful academic journey.

This assessment serves as an important tool in gauging the students' current knowledge and understanding. The results will provide our educators with valuable insights that will help guide instruction and identify key areas of focus for the school year ahead.

Through this process, CSMA continues its commitment to fostering academic excellence by ensuring that learning experiences are responsive to the needs of every Monican.

May this be the first step toward a year filled with growth, discovery, and success. 💛💡

🔔 DO YOU HEAR THAT?

As the school bells rang once again, the CSMA Family warmly welcomed the opening of Academic Year 2026–2027 through Salubong Monicana, marking the beginning of another meaningful journey of learning, faith, and service.
The celebration commenced with an Opening Liturgy honoring our beloved patron saint, St. Monica. United in prayer, Monicans entrusted the new academic year to God, asking for His guidance, wisdom, and abundant blessings as we embark on a new chapter filled with hope and grace.

This was followed by the Entrance of Colors, led by the Knights of St. Monica, symbolizing dignity, strength, and nationalism. With pride and reverence, the Monican community sang the Philippine National Anthem and the CSMA Hymn, reaffirming the values and virtues that shape us as learners and disciples of Christ.

To conclude the morning program, the JHS Pastoral Council joyfully performed “Monican Ako, Liwanag ng Mundo,” a vibrant expression of what it means to be a Monican: A true Light of the World.

In the afternoon, students gathered at Gym 1 for an orientation introducing the school's facilities and some of the dedicated non-teaching personnel who help make CSMA a nurturing and supportive environment for all.

The first day of classes marked a promising start to the academic year, igniting a renewed light of hope within every Monican. As CSMA opens its gates once more, may we continue to walk together in faith, live in unity, and love one another through Christ's example.
