Faculty members and staff of Isabela State University–Angadanan Campus participated in a Health and Wellness Program featuring a Zumba session and a Big Ball Volleyball competition on June 9, 2026, as part of the morning activities for the University’s 48th Founding Anniversary celebration. The activities were facilitated by the campus’s Physical Education instructors.

Held after the campus tree-planting activity, the event encouraged participants to stay active while promoting teamwork, camaraderie, and a healthy work-life balance. Faculty and staff enthusiastically joined the activities, turning the campus grounds into a venue of energy, laughter, and friendly competition.

The activities brought energy and enthusiasm to the celebration, providing an opportunity for employees to engage in friendly competition and strengthen workplace relationships.

As part of the campus anniversary celebration, the faculty and staff of Isabela State University–Angadanan Campus, led by Campus Administrator Dr. Oscar Gacutan Bangayan, participated in a tree-planting activity on June 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., donning their cowboy hats as they reaffirmed the University’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Held in designated areas across the campus, the activity brought together members of the university community in a shared effort to contribute to ecological conservation and promote a greener campus environment. Participants planted various tree seedlings, including guyabano, kasoy, and other fruit-bearing trees, recognizing the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges and preserving natural resources for future generations.

Beyond enhancing the campus landscape, the activity served as a reminder of the University’s agricultural roots. Isabela State University traces its beginnings to an agricultural institution established on June 10, 1978, through Presidential Decree No. 1434. The activity also underscored the vital role educational institutions play in promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility among their stakeholders.

The tree-planting activity reflects ISU Angadanan Campus’ continuing dedication to sustainability initiatives and its vision of nurturing not only academic excellence but also responsible citizenship and environmental stewardship.

🌐 Understanding the ISU Research Symposium

This annual research symposium is a cornerstone of our institution's academic mission. As a premier learning institution, Isabela State University is deeply committed to producing quality graduates and driving countryside development through sustainable, practical technologies. The Student Research Symposium serves as a crucial platform to integrate student and graduate research into the university's larger Research, Development, and Extension (R&DE) agenda. During the cluster-level event, undergraduate and graduate theses are rigorously evaluated by a panel of experts. This process not only recognizes outstanding academic work but also identifies promising innovations for real-world testing, verification, and potential commercialization. Winners from the cluster level advance to the university-wide stage, with their extended abstracts published in the official Student Symposium proceedings.
