Last August 20, 2026, Rose Anihan Farm Technology School (Rose Tech) proudly participated in the National Tech-Voc Day โ€“ World Cafรฉ of Opportunities held at Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT), Santiago City, Isabela.

The event served as a valuable platform for promoting Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), connecting job seekers, trainees, graduates, industry partners, and stakeholders with employment and livelihood opportunities.

Our participation reflects Rose Tech' commitment to supporting TESDA's mission of empowering Filipinos through quality skills training, employment opportunities, and lifelong learning.

The Agricultural Crops Production NC II trainees of Rose Anihan Farm Technology School successfully conducted a Seed Testing (Germination Test) activity as part of their hands-on training in crop production. This practical exercise helps trainees assess seed quality and viability before planting, ensuring better crop establishment and higher productivity.

The trainees performed the following seed germination testing methods:

๐ŸŒฟ Petri Dish Method โ€“ Seeds were placed on moist filter paper inside a petri dish to observe germination under controlled conditions.

๐Ÿงป Rag Doll Method โ€“ Seeds were wrapped in a moist paper towel, rolled carefully, and monitored for germination, a commonly used method in seed testing laboratories.

๐Ÿ“„ Between Paper Method โ€“ Seeds were placed between moist paper towels to evaluate germination percentage and seed vigor.

Through this activity, trainees gained valuable knowledge and practical skills in:

Our learners conducted a hands-on activity on traditional composting as part of sustainable farm waste management practices. This activity helps transform agricultural wastes into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer beneficial for crop production. ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ“Œ Steps Performed:
โœ… Collecting farm wastes
โœ… Soaking rice straw
โœ… Chopping banana trunk
โœ… Preparing the compost pile
โœ… Filling layers of dried leaves, rice hulls, rice straw, chopped banana trunk, and animal manure
โœ… Watering the compost pile
โœ… Covering the pile properly

๐Ÿ“Š After one week, the compost pile was monitored by checking:
๐ŸŒก๏ธ Temperature
๐Ÿ’ง Moisture content
๐Ÿงช pH level

๐Ÿ“ Findings and observations were carefully recorded to monitor the decomposition process and evaluate the effectiveness of traditional composting methods.

(RAFTS) conducted a Training Induction Program (TIP) for scholars on April 20, 2026, as part of its preparation for the implementation of the Agricultural Crops Production NC II under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). The activity aimed to formally welcome the scholars and equip them with essential information prior to the start of the training.

During the orientation, scholars were briefed on the training guidelines, including attendance policies, competency-based learning system, assessment procedures, and safety protocols. The benefits of the scholarship were also discussed, such as training support, allowances, and opportunities for national certification. Rose Anihan actively participated in the 2026 Gakit Festival Government Service Caravan cm Job Fair, an event attended by various government agencies such as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Social Security System (SSS), National Bureau of Investigationn (NBI), Land Transportation Office (LTO) and other partner institutions in coordination with Angadanan Municipal Office and PESO Angadanan. The activity aimed to bring government services closer to the community, provide employment opportunities, facilitate job matching, and promote inclusive economic growth.

During the event, Rose Anihan showcased various training opportunities aimed at enhancing the skills and employability of individuals, particularly in the agriculture and technical-vocational sectors.
