For one elegant evening, the future builders of our world traded structural blueprints for a blueprint of timeless style. Old money charm set the mood—sleek outfits, refined energy, and a touch of vintage glamour made the night feel like a scene from a classic film, proving civil engineering never looked this elegant. Yet, beyond the polished surfaces, the true foundation of the night was the shared enjoyment: full smiles, rich laughter, and memories crafted with the same care as a perfect design. It was a brilliant celebration of the multifaceted engineer—where resilience meets refinement, and camaraderie is the strongest structure of all. ✨🥂

In light of an ongoing bomb threat sent by an unknown individual through a Messenger account, Aklan State University (ASU) hereby announces the suspension of all classes and work across ALL ASU campuses, effective immediately and until further notice.

This decision is made to prioritize the safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and the entire university community. The University is closely coordinating with concerned authorities to verify the threat and ensure that all necessary safety protocols are strictly implemented.

We strongly advise everyone to:

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐔𝐍 𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐒

Even the busiest engineering students, buried in formulas and deadlines, deserve a day where the only thing they need to calculate is how much fun they can have.

The building of the College of Engineering and Architecture lit up with excitement and energy as Civil Engineering students gathered for their much-awaited team-building activity, one of the most vibrant highlights of CE Days 2025. What began as a simple morning seminar soon turned into a lively celebration of unity, color, and the strong spirit that defines future engineers.

Bright team colors filled the campus grounds — as cheers and chants echoed from every direction. Laughter carried across the open spaces as students from freshman to fourth year came together, breaking barriers and strengthening bonds within the CE department.

The engineering field transformed into a challenge arena where participants used their mathematical skills, problem-solving abilities, communication, and teamwork to complete each station. Every task tested not only their knowledge but also their cooperation and resilience—traits essential in the world of engineering.

Yet amidst all the challenges, what stood out the most were the smiles. After countless mornings of waking up early, attending demanding classes, and solving math problems day after day, this event became a refreshing pause. It reminded everyone that even the busiest engineering students deserve moments of joy, connection, and play. For many, it marked one of the best days of CE Days 2025.

As the afternoon came to a close, the event wrapped up with a beloved CE tradition: “Basaan.” Plastic bags filled with four different colors of water—representing the four year levels—were tossed among students, filling the field with splashes of color, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The success of the activity was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES), led by Gov. Zyryl Belga, along with facilitators, committees, and the entire organizing team whose hard work brought this vibrant day to life.

This year’s CE team-building wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of camaraderie, resilience, and the ever-brightening future for the Civil Engineering students.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | ASU-Kalibo adds 12 new CELE passers to the rolls

Aklan State University – Kalibo, College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), successfully added 12 newly Registered Civil Engineers to the rolls after passing the November 2025 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE), with results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) today, November 29.

ASU-Kalibo demonstrated a notable performance, achieving a 54.55% passing rate for first-time takers (6 out of 11) and a 22.22% passing rate for repeaters (6 out of 27). Overall, the university recorded a 31.58% passing rate, with 12 out of 38 examinees passing the CELE, underscoring its dedication to producing highly competent civil engineers ready to contribute to the field's advancement and sustainable development.

A pilot testing of survey questionnaires was successfully conducted on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Barangay Poblacion, New Washington, Aklan for the ongoing research study titled “𝘉𝘈𝘚𝘒𝘖𝘎 (𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘖𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩) 𝘑𝘢𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘪: 𝘈 𝘕𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘳𝘨𝘺. The pilot activity aimed to validate the clarity, reliability, and effectiveness of the survey instruments before their formal administration to the target respondents in Barangay Jawili. Researchers engaged selected community members to assess the questionnaire’s wording, flow, and relevance, ensuring that the final tool would accurately capture the community’s training needs in the construction sector.

The BASKOG Jawili study focuses on identifying skill gaps, labor readiness, and potential training opportunities for residents, particularly those seeking employment in construction-related fields. The initiative hopes to support future livelihood programs and capacity-building activities in Tangalan, contributing to local workforce development.

Feedback gathered from the pilot test will be used to refine and enhance the survey tools. The research team expressed gratitude to the residents of Brgy. Poblacion for their cooperation and valuable insights.

A formal rollout of the revised questionnaire in Brgy. Jawili is expected to follow next week, Friday, December 5, 2025.

On November 26, 2025, the Civil Engineering Pageant showcased talent, creativity, and confidence as each candidate stepped onto the stage with purpose. Performances and innovative recycled outfits highlighted artistry, sustainability, and resourcefulness. The Q&A segment revealed the depth, intelligence, and compassion of every participant, proving that Civil Engineering students are builders of structures, ideas, solutions, and meaningful change.

With excellence shining through every category, Mr. Civil Engineering 2025 is 𝗚𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗩. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 from 2-C, and Ms. Civil Engineering 2025 is 𝗡𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗦. 𝗔𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮 from 3-B. Their grace, strength, and unwavering dedication earned them the crown and the admiration of the entire department.

Beyond the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Civil Engineering 2025, several other contestants were recognized for their exceptional performances and contributions.
