I always remind myself of the backpack theory—that letting go isn’t losing something, it’s making space for something lighter. For so long, I thought holding on meant strength, that keeping every memory, every person, every feeling was proof of how deeply I cared. But over time, the weight became too much. What I once carried with love slowly turned into something that drained me, something that made every step forward feel heavier than it should be. And I realized, not everything I hold onto is meant to stay—some things were only meant to teach me, not travel with me forever.
