𝗘𝘅𝗦𝗜𝗦 | 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱

The 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗘𝘅𝗦𝗜𝗦) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 successfully conducted its 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, marking another important step toward the refinement and institutional deployment of ExSIS at 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗖𝗦𝗨).

The activity engaged personnel from the 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗘𝗦𝗢), headed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠. 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮, Director, together with 𝗝𝗶𝗹-𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗥. 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦. 𝗣𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗹, 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗵 𝗣. 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮, 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗗. 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼, and 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗠. 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗼. As the system’s primary stakeholders, the ESO personnel validated the actual 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀, 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 of ExSIS and provided comments and recommendations based on the operational requirements of extension services.

Providing technical evaluation were 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗦. 𝗠𝗼𝘆𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗛𝗖𝗜 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗱𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁 𝗢. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗩𝗟𝗥𝗖 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳, who assessed the system from the technical and implementation perspectives.

The activity was led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖. 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲, 𝗘𝘅𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, together with ExSIS developers 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔. 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝗴𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗻, who facilitated the system walkthrough and testing while documenting the comments, issues, and recommendations raised by the participants.

The Alpha Testing aims to 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 to further refine the system’s usability, interface clarity, functionality, and performance before proceeding to the succeeding stages of testing and deployment.

Through ExSIS, CSU advances its efforts toward a 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀-𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 for streamlining extension documentation, improving data accuracy, and strengthening evidence-based reporting and management of the University’s extension initiatives.

The 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗘𝘅𝗦𝗜𝗦) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 participated in the 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 conducted by the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗢) at the 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺, 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

During the monitoring, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖. 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲, 𝗘𝘅𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿, presented the project’s 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, highlighting its development milestones, completed activities, resource utilization, and continuing activities toward the delivery of the system.

The monitoring provided an avenue for CSU's internally-funded projects to assess the project’s progress against its targets, identify areas requiring further action, and ensure that the remaining activities are aligned with the project’s intended outputs and institutional requirements.

As ExSIS advances toward its succeeding development, testing, and deployment activities, 𝗖𝗦𝗨 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 to managing and reporting the University’s extension programs, projects, partnerships, beneficiaries, and accomplishments.

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦) 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 welcomed representatives from 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝟯𝟴𝟲𝟬 for a partnership discussion on the proposed 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, “𝗔 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 (𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻).”

The proposed initiative seeks to strengthen 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 (𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠) 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 among learners in selected elementary schools in 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 by creating opportunities for practical, experiential, and technology-supported learning.

Present during the discussion was 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝟱𝟴𝟳𝟬, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻, 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀, 𝗨𝗦𝗔, together with representatives from 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝟯𝟴𝟲𝟬 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱). The meeting provided an opportunity to explore potential areas of collaboration among Rotary, CSU, DepEd, and participating schools in support of the proposed Global Grant.

As part of the prospective partnership, 𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲, particularly in areas where computing, digital technologies, and STEM education can contribute to the successful implementation of the initiative.

The engagement marks a promising step toward a partnership that brings together 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 toward a shared goal of creating meaningful STEM learning opportunities for young learners.

Subject to the approval and funding of the Global Grant and appropriate institutional processes, 𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝟯𝟴𝟲𝟬, 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝟱𝟴𝟳𝟬, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 in transforming A River of Knowledge from a shared vision into a sustainable initiative for the learners of Butuan City.

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦), through its 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, successfully supported the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗣𝗖𝗔) – 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 in conducting the 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟳–𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at PCA-Caraga. The four-day initiative formed part of the extension program 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗖𝗔 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮: 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

The training strengthened the digital knowledge and practical workplace capabilities of PCA-Caraga personnel across four key areas: 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻; 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆; 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲; and 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗧𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Serving as 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗥𝗣𝘀) for the four-day training were 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗕. 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗼, who facilitated the sessions on 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆; 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗠. 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗮, who handled 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲; and 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗮𝘀𝘂 𝗩. 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗼, 𝗣𝗵𝗗, who facilitated 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗧𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Beyond lectures and discussions, the RPs engaged participants in 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗔𝗜 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗧𝗥 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, enabling participants to directly apply their learning to actual workplace situations.

The initiative highlights the continuing partnership between 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗖𝗔-𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 in building a more 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆-𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲. It also reflects 𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀’ commitment to translating the College’s expertise in computing and information sciences into meaningful capacity-building initiatives that strengthen institutions and improve public service.

Caraga State University (CSU), through the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS), achieved a historic milestone on September 8, 2026, receiving official notification that all three of its undergraduate computing programs were accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the PCS Information and Computing Accreditation Board (PICAB). With this accreditation, CSU is now the first Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Caraga Region, the fourth in Mindanao, and one of the only 18 nationwide to earn PICAB recognition.

The partnership formalizes a collaborative effort between CSU and the City Government of Butuan to strengthen digital transformation, innovation, and capability-building initiatives across the city's education sector. Through TEC-BuILD, the partners will implement technology-driven extension programs, provide technical expertise, and conduct capacity-building activities in emerging fields of information technology disciplines.

A key component of the partnership is the development and implementation of the 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗕𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗦), an IT-enabled platform designed to streamline scholarship application, evaluation, approval, and monitoring processes. The initiative is expected to improve efficiency, transparency, accessibility, and data-driven decision-making while benefiting learners and educational institutions throughout Butuan City.

The collaboration also reinforces the role of the 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 (𝗕𝗜𝗠𝗦) as a hub for innovation, technology training, research, and entrepreneurship. By combining the expertise of CSU with the City's commitment to educational excellence, the partnership aims to create more inclusive learning opportunities, strengthen the local innovation ecosystem, and equip educators, students, and stakeholders with future-ready digital skills.
