In every success story, there are countless late nights, unending reviews, and quiet moments of doubt conquered only by determination. For this year’s graduates of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, those moments have now blossomed into triumph.

The Department proudly marks a 67.11% passing rate in the recent licensure examination, surpassing the national passing rate of 59.14%. Yet behind this number are stories of perseverance: students who balanced responsibilities, pushed through challenges, and chose to believe in themselves even when the journey grew difficult.

Today, 51 newly registered Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers stand as the heart of this achievement. They represent not only individual victory but also the collective spirit of a Department that strives to nurture, guide, and inspire. Their success is a reflection of classrooms transformed into learning communities, mentors who stayed patient, and a university committed to shaping thinkers and problem solvers for the region and beyond.

As these new engineers step into their profession, they carry with them the pride of a Department that has walked with them every step of the way.

Fifty-one Golden Paddlers are now newly registered Agricultural and Biosystems engineers, as announced in the December 2025 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination today, December 11. The university secured a 67.11% passing rate. Congratulations, our Golden Paddler bayaws!

This outstanding achievement stands as a testament to the collective dedication and hard work of the CEGS faculty and staff, whose commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement continues to elevate Caraga State University’s reputation in engineering education.

𝗖𝗦𝗨 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗼 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀

Caraga State University, through its Center for Resource Assessment, Analytics, and Emerging Technologies (CReATE), formally shared its Sago Pith Extracting Machine to aid Sago farmers in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on April 29, 2025.

In March this year, CReATE deployed the same machine to a farmers’ group in Julita, Leyte. The same move reinforces the university's commitment to implementing research outcomes in the community and helping small-scale farmers and rural industries.

𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 — Faculty members from Caraga State University’s Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering participated in the 2025 Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) National Convention held from April 20 to 25 in Iloilo City. This year’s convention carried the theme “𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮.”

The event brought together agricultural and biosystems engineering professionals from across the country, serving as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional growth. The active involvement of CSU ABE faculty underscores the university’s commitment to staying updated of developments in the field and contributing to national efforts in building climate-resilient and sustainable agri-based systems.
