The E-SIP is a vital, data-driven roadmap that outlines specific interventions and projects to be undertaken over the next three years. It is designed to improve the key result areas of access, quality, and governance in education, all aligned with the Department of Educationβs vision. This plan was developed through a systematic, evidence-based approach that considers the unique needs of our school community, with the learners' welfare as the central focus.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who actively participated in this process. Special thanks to our PTA officers, led by Mrs. Rowena Suelan; the Barangay Officials headed by Hon. On August 4, 2025, Allab Elementary School successfully conducted a Significant Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session focused on School-Based Action Research, specifically regarding the implementation of the ARAL Program. This event took place in the Grade 5 classroom, commencing at 3 PM.
The session began with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Abril Threezz, followed by the singing of the national anthem, conducted by Jean Mallo Fermano. These initial activities set a respectful and unified tone for the gathering. Mrs. Lovely Beboso Adolfo then delivered her welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of collaborative learning and the pivotal role of action research in education.
Jerom Panes Gecoli Azucena,EdD., our esteemed speaker, took the stage next. His presentation was a highlight of the session, showcasing his extensive knowledge and passion for research. Dr. Azucena effectively engaged the participants, illustrating the significance of action research in enhancing teaching practices. He led a workshop aimed at assisting participants in crafting their action research proposals, guiding them in formulating captivating titles.
A key takeaway from Dr. Azucenaβs presentation was his assertion that teachers are inherently innovators, brimming with strategies that often remain unrealized in research due to challenges in articulating these ideas in writing. The SLAC session addressed this gap, providing teachers with the necessary tools and guidance to translate their innovative strategies into structured research proposals. By the end of the workshop, participants had completed parts 1 to 4 of their action research proposals, demonstrating significant progress in their understanding and application of research methodologies.
The SLAC session was not only successful but also enjoyable, fostering a collaborative environment where teachers could learn, share, and innovate. The positive feedback from participants indicates that this initiative has effectively equipped them with the skills to engage in meaningful action research, ultimately benefiting their teaching practices and student outcomes.
