What if you went to a world-renowned brain surgeon and took away their scalpel and give a butter knife. Then say, "Okay, perform the surgery." That wouldn't work well.
If you went to the police force ang exchange their handcuffs for silly strings, and took away their weapon and give them a water cannon gun instead. And ask them to keep doing their job. IT WOULDN'T WORK OUT.
Yet, parents, administrators, government, society has taken away teachers' ability to ACTUALLY HAVE DISCIPLINE and CONSEQUENCE IN THE CLASSROOM. And they are telling us, "Well, just do your job. Aren't you a good teacher?
The truth is ... if the students are disrespectful, rude, defiant, and committed to act like a jerk in the classroom it doesn't matter how good a teacher is.

Yeah, iba na talaga panahon ngayon.
This is a societal problem and kids are a mirror of that. It's annoying how people put it all on teachers. These problems are too big for teachers to fix alone. AS A SOCIETY we need to be teaching children about HARD WORK, SELF-CONTROL, GRIT, RESPECT, KINDNESS, COOPERATION, etc. But if they are not seeing that modelled in the world, it is going to be HARD to expect that from kids.
Classroom management cannot work by student and teacher alone. Parents, administration, gov't, society need to be supporting the teachers in what they're trying to do.
