Kapalutan Elementary School

In an effort to contribute to the environment and promote a cleaner school, the Boy Scouts of KAPALUTAN ES organized a Tree Planting and Clean Up Drive.

Led by Adult Leaders, Ms Jessa S. Nacuray and Ms. Gladys M. Salem, a group of dedicated Boy Scouts with all the learners of Kapalutan ES gathered early in the morning at school's grounds. Armed with shovels, sacks, guard tree and an eagerness to make a difference, they set to work immediately. Kapalutan ES planted a variety of fruit bearing trees. This initiative not only ensures a greener environment but also provides shade and beauty for the Kapalutan ES to enjoy.

Simultaneously, another group of Scouts embarked on a clean-up mission. Armed with trash bags and pick-up sticks, they meticulously combed through the school's premises, picking up any litter they came across. They focused on areas such as the playgrounds and roadsides. By the end of the drive, they had collected a significant amount of trash, ranging from plastic bottles to candy wrappers.

The tree planting and clean-up drive showcased the Boy Scouts' commitment to environmental sustainability and their desire to create a positive impact within our school community. This initiative not only beautifies our surroundings but also instills in learners a sense of responsibility towards the environment and encourages them to maintain cleanliness.

Kapalutan ES School Head Mrs. Precy U. Talabado, expressed her appreciation for the Scouts' efforts, stressed the importance of such initiatives, and encouraged other learners to follow their example. She emphasized the role of volunteering in developing leadership skills, fostering teamwork, and preserving our natural resources.

The Boy Scout tree planting and clean-up drive have not only had a visible impact on our school but have also left a lasting impression on the learners and faculty. It is a testament to the Scouts' dedication and their tireless commitment to making the world a better place. Their efforts are an inspiration to us all, reminding us that each individual can have a significant impact when working together towards a common goal.
