Nagattatan ES Strengthens Teachers' Competence Through School-Based Professional Learning

📚 Investing in teachers is investing in learners.

In line with its commitment to continuous professional development and instructional excellence, Nagattatan Elementary School conducted a school-based professional learning session focusing on the ILAW System Daily Lesson Plan(DLP) and Item Analysis, spearheaded by the School Head, Ma'am Precy U. Tabaldo.

The session provided teachers with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of developing well-crafted and competency-aligned Daily Lesson Logs using the ILAW framework while strengthening their assessment literacy through the proper conduct and interpretation of item analysis.

Through collaborative discussions, teachers explored effective lesson planning strategies, examined assessment data, identified learners' strengths and areas for improvement, and shared evidence-based practices to make classroom instruction more responsive to learners' needs. The activity also reinforced the importance of using assessment results to refine teaching strategies, improve learning outcomes, and support informed instructional decision-making.

This initiative reflects Nagattatan Elementary School's unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, reflective practice, and continuous learning among teachers. The faculty of Nagattatan Elementary School actively participated in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Construction of Test Questions, facilitated by our dedicated School Head, Ma'am Precy U. Tabaldo.

The discussion provided teachers with valuable insights and practical strategies in developing quality assessment questions that are aligned with the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) and learning standards. Through collaborative sharing of ideas, teachers enhanced their skills in crafting valid, reliable, and learner-centered assessments that accurately measure learners' knowledge, understanding, and higher-order thinking skills.

This professional learning activity reflects the school's commitment to continuous improvement and instructional excellence. By strengthening teachers' assessment practices, we ensure that every evaluation becomes a meaningful tool for monitoring learner progress and improving classroom instruction.

"Ang isang malinis na paaralan ay bunga ng sama-samang pagkilos ng buong komunidad."

Isang taos-pusong pasasalamat ang ipinapaabot ng Nagattatan Elementary School sa lahat ng mga magulang at tagapag-alaga na naging bahagi ng APAM (A Parent A Month) ngayong buwan ng Hulyo.

Sa inyong boluntaryong pagtulong sa paglilinis at pagpapanatili ng kaayusan ng ating paaralan, naipakita ninyo ang tunay na diwa ng bayanihan at malasakit sa edukasyon ng ating mga mag-aaral. Ang inyong oras, sipag, at dedikasyon ay malaking ambag sa paglikha ng isang malinis, ligtas, at kaaya-ayang kapaligiran kung saan mas nagiging epektibo at makabuluhan ang pagkatuto ng bawat bata.

Ang tagumpay ng ating paaralan ay hindi lamang bunga ng pagsisikap ng mga g**o, kundi ng matatag na pagtutulungan ng mga magulang, tagapag-alaga, at buong komunidad. Patuloy nating ipagpatuloy ang pagkakaisa para sa ikabubuti ng ating mga mag-aaral.

Nagattatan Elementary School continues to prioritize a safe and conducive learning environment through the initiative and leadership of School Head Ma'am Precy U. Tabaldo.

To ensure the safety and reliability of the school's electrical system, an overall inspection and check-up of the existing electrical lines and connections were conducted. Necessary electrical works, including improvements to classroom wiring, were also carried out to ensure that all classrooms have safe and functional lighting.

Electricity plays a vital role in the teaching and learning process. Reliable lighting enables teachers to deliver lessons more effectively, utilize instructional materials and learning technologies, and create a classroom environment where learners can stay focused and actively participate in meaningful learning activities.

Barangay Support Keeps Learners Safe Every School Day

Nagattatan Elementary School extends its sincere appreciation to Barangay Captain Reymond Delos Santos Gabbac for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and safety of the school's learners.

Beginning on the very first day of School Year 2026–2027, the NBLB Barangay Service Vehicle has been providing free daily transportation for learners, safely bringing them from their homes to school every morning and back home every afternoon. This initiative helps ensure that learners arrive at school safely, on time, and ready to learn while giving parents peace of mind.

The school also expresses its sincere appreciation to the dedicated barangay service driver Mr. Jomar Hermano for faithfully ensuring the safe and timely transport of the learners each day. Your dedication and care play a vital role in creating a secure and learner-friendly environment.
