The second week of July has been declared as the National Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Week. In recognition of the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and to highlight the importance of IPC as a cornerstone of patient and healthcare worker safety, the theme of “IPC: Rising Above and Beyond Adversities” has been chosen in coordination with the Philippine Hospital Infection Control Society, Inc for this year’s celebration.

The Department of Health aims to advocate for the conscious and constant application of IPC principles at all levels of healthcare. Awareness of proper handwashing techniques, social distancing, and appropriate face masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) use are vital interventions that shall curb the spread of infections in health facilities.

Hosted by DepEd Schools Division Office of Lapu-Lapu City, the event aims for our teachers and learners to fully recognize the value of historical events, and apply their wisdom, integrity, and love for this country in our own simple ways.

The Department of Education announces the conduct of the SY 2021-2022 End-of-School Year (EOSY) Rites for Kindergarten, Grades 6, 10, and 12 learners for SY 2021-2022, with the theme “Gradweyt ng K to 12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok” (K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity).

This school year, we recognize that despite the risks and uncertainty brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the challenges it has posed to education, our Filipino learners remain resolute in their desire to build a better future anchored on a clear vision.

The EOSY Rites shall be conducted on any of the dates from June 27 to July 2, 2022.

Guidelines for the conduct of the rites will be released through a DepEd Order.

It is an opportune time to give Juanas the power to lay down the blueprint for future leaders, in terms of essential gender issues that demand immediate attention and solution. This Women’s Month, Juanas take center stage – standing up for their rights, challenging stereotypes, breaking barriers, and serving as pioneers of change. This year, the nation recognizes women’s valuable role in the society and proves that inclusive and sustainable development is only possible when gender equality becomes obtainable.
