The school community actively celebrated Womenโs Month, a meaningful event dedicated to recognizing the strength, achievements, and contributions of women in society. As part of the celebration, purple flags were displayed around the school campus, symbolizing justice, dignity, and the empowerment of women. Teachers and students also showed their support by updating their profile pictures using the official frame from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), signifying unity with the nationwide advocacy for gender equality and womenโs empowerment.
The program formally began with a solemn opening prayer led by Jabez Chumapong, which set a reflective and respectful tone for the activity. This was followed by an inspiring message from Maโam Rhea R. Teodoro, who highlighted the importance of celebrating Womenโs Month as a way to recognize the vital role of women in schools, families, and communities. She encouraged young women to believe in their abilities, pursue their dreams, and become future leaders who can inspire positive change. She also reminded all students that a progressive society is achieved through respect, equality, and cooperation between men and women. Furthermore, she urged teachers to continue guiding learners toward values of fairness, respect, and appreciation for equal opportunities.
To make the celebration more engaging and enjoyable, several activities were prepared for the students. Fun games were initiated by Maโam Eunice Dog-e and Maโam Grace Taganas, where students enthusiastically participated and demonstrated teamwork and camaraderie. In addition, a trivia activity facilitated by Maโam Rhea Teodoro, Maโam Cornelia Cabauatan, Maโam Michelle Boadilla, and Maโam Ruby Bumanghat tested the studentsโ knowledge while highlighting the achievements and contributions of women.
Students who actively participated and won in the activities were awarded prizes generously provided by the teachers and the IFSU Extension Services, adding excitement and motivation for everyone involved. The entire program was smoothly facilitated by the Master of Ceremonies, Maโam Jovelyn Buway, who guided the flow of the event with enthusiasm and energy.
Special thanks to all the teachers and students for their support and active participation, which made the Womenโs Month celebration both meaningful and successful. Indeed, the event served as a reminder for everyone to continue valuing, respecting, and supporting womenโnot only during this special month but every day of our lives.
