Always remember to plant the right trees, BINHI Buddies! 🌱
Forest restoration plays a critical role in combating climate change. However, not all efforts achieve the same results. While these initiatives are well-intentioned, some rely on exotic tree species that can unintentionally disrupt ecosystems. These species may outcompete native plants, fail to support local wildlife, and even harm biodiversity in the long run.
Native trees, on the other hand, provide essential habitats for our unique wildlife, enrich soil health, and are deeply rooted in the natural balance of our ecosystems. By planting Philippine native species, we ensure that our efforts don’t just add greenery but actively restore and protect the delicate balance of our ecosystem.
Let’s make every tree count by planting the right ones and

The Amazon Rainforest, often referred to as the "lungs of the Earth," is a vast, tropical rainforest primarily located in South America. It spans across nine countries, including Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela, and is the largest rainforest on the planet. It covers approximately 5.5 million square kilometers (2.1 million square miles), making it home to an incredible variety of wildlife and plant species. The Amazon plays a critical role in regulating the global climate, producing oxygen, and storing carbon dioxide.

Unmasking Asia's Biodiversity Boundaries!
Did you know that Asia isn't just a single, uniform landmass? It's a mosaic of diverse ecosystems, separated by fascinating biological boundaries.
One of the most famous is the Wallace Line. This imaginary line divides Asian and Australian flora and fauna. Animals on either side are incredibly different! 🦘🐨 vs. 🐼🐯
But that's not all! Other important boundaries include:
* The Himalayan Barrier: These towering mountains create a massive divide, influencing climate and species distribution. 🏔️❄️
* The Gobi Desert: This vast desert acts as a natural barrier, shaping the ecosystems on either side. 🏜️🐪
These boundaries have shaped the unique biodiversity we see in Asia today.
Let's work together to protect these incredible ecosystems!
Why Animals Don’t Cross This Invisible Border 🚧 Wallace Line 😱 🌍 Did you know there's an invisible line in the Malay Archipelago that separates two entirely different worlds of wildlife? 🌏 This boundary, called the Wal...
