Modular Learning VS. Online Class

✔Modular Learning
Naghahanda ang school ng mga modules na maaari ninyong basahin, pag-aralan, intindihin at sagutan. Pagkatapos nito'y ibalik sa school.

Tanong:

1. May bayad ba ang Modules?
Sagot: WALA

2. Sino ang kukuha ng mga Modules sa school?
Sagot: Pag-usapan ninyo ng iyong Class Adviser. Pwede ang iyong magulang, ate, kuya, tito at tita na 21 pataas ang edad.

3. Pwede ba na si Mama/Papa/ Tito/Tita ang sasagot sa Modules?
Sagot: Hindi po pwede dahil ikaw ang nag-enroll, at dapat ikaw ang sasagot ngunit pwede kang magpatulong o magpaturo sa kanila.

✔Online Class
Magkakaroon ng klase si Ma'am/Sir at mga estudyante online.
Sa mga pumili ng online class, kinakailangan niyong matutunan ang paggamit ng Zoom, Google Meet App, Google Classroom o depende sa pinag-usapan ninyo ng iyong g**o.

Tanong:

1. Kung online class ang pinili, kinakailangan ba ang internet at gadget (gaya ng cellphone o Laptop)?
Sagot: Oo, kinakailangan ng internet connection at gadget.

2. Ang DepEd ba ay magbibigay ng gadget at internet?
Sagot: Hindi po. Huwag natin ipilit sa ating mga magulang kung walang pera pambili ng gadget. Kung walang budget, piliin mo ang modular learning.

DEPED’S MELCs DOWNLOADABLE FOR FREE ON DEPED COMMONS

The Department of Education’s (DepEd) Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) may now be downloaded for free on DepEd Commons (commons.deped.gov.ph/melc) starting today.

“We have made the MELCs available for free download at DepEd Commons to help our teachers focus on what is most essential given the challenge in learning delivery this school year,” said Undersecretary Alain Pascua.

Included in the link are the K-12 MELCs and its corresponding guidelines, which was prepared by the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD), under Director Jocelyn Andaya, and approved by Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio (Curriculum and Instruction).

According to the MELC guidelines (also downloadable for free), the MELCs is part of the Department’s response to develop resilient education systems, especially during emergencies, and will enable DepEd to focus instruction on the most essential and indispensable competencies.

“We are trying to make everything as accessible as we can, through DepEd Commons and our other available channels. It is upon us to make sure our teachers and learners have everything they need in order to continue learning” Pascua explained.

Previously, DepEd warned of groups and individuals selling printed learning materials and modules online, and reminded that these materials can all be accessed for free via DepEd Commons, the Learning Portal. Printouts will also be provided for those enrolled in public schools, and that DepEd is also busy working on using Radio and TV for instruction.
