Compared with its 2025 ranking, MAAP advanced by 214 places worldwide, from 799th to 585th, and improved by 12 places in the Philippines, from 37th to 25th.

On May 12, 2026, The Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) proudly celebrates its recognition in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), ranking 356th among the Top 500 public and private higher education institutions worldwide.

Among Philippine higher education institutions, MAAP ranked 100th. In Central Luzon (Region III), MAAP placed 15th and stands as the only maritime school from the region included in the prestigious Top 500 list. MAAP also ranked 9th among maritime schools in the Philippines.

This global recognition highlights MAAPโ€™s commitment to innovation, excellence, digital transformation, sustainability, and future-ready maritime education. The Academy was recognized in 5 WURI categories:
