The Special Science Elementary School (SSES) of Alangalang I Central School proudly presents the list of qualified learners for School Year 2026–2027, following the intensive screening process conducted through:

•School-Based Screening, and

•the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) Test administered by Sto. Niño SPED Center of Tacloban, our partner institution in the selection process.

✅ These learners have successfully met the standards and are hereby recognized as the official qualifiers for admission to the SSES program.

⚠️ Important Note: Slots for other grade levels were not fully filled as some learners did not meet the 60% minimum combined rating required for qualification.

The school extends its gratitude to all participating learners, parents, and partners for their commitment and support throughout the selection process.

The whole Alangalang I CS community celebrates the achievement of these exceptional young journalists for bagging awards in the recently concluded Regional Schools Press Conference 2026 hosted by DepEd Sogod, Southern Leyte from January 19-23.

For Radio Scriptwriting & Broadcasting English category, our AICS team emerged CHAMPIONS making them qualify for the National Schools Press Conference this year. They also bagged several awards as follows: Best in Infomercial, Best in Technical Application, and Best News Presenter. The team is composed of the news anchors- Emmanuel Casimpan and Katherine Michelle Peralta, technical director- Vinz Samuel Evalo, and news presenters- Yssabella Belicano, Ed Francis Cafe, Vina Cagadoc, and Rhythm Yu. Guided by their coaches- Joselito Ranes and Marife Acebo, the team is now set to prepare for the next level of the competition to be hosted by Ormoc City.

Meanwhile, adding to the awards is the 5th placement of Zouie Santillan in the Feature Writing Competition with her coach- Luche Ann Baldesco.

With this history made, AICS campus journalists are now more determined in bringing honor to the whole region in the upcoming national level while upholding the spirit of campus journalism.
