The College of Information Technology Education (CITE) of Golden West Colleges, Inc. proudly showcased the creativity, confidence, and versatility of its students through CITE Got Talent and the Search for Mr. & Ms. CITE 2026, held on February 6, 2026, at Plaza Enrique Braganza.

The CITE Got Talent highlighted the diverse skills of students beyond the digital world, featuring impressive performances in singing, dancing, and other artistic expressions. The event celebrated passion, individuality, and the courage to shine on stage.

Following the talent showcase, the Search for Mr. & Ms. CITE 2026 took center stage in the afternoon, where candidates demonstrated poise, confidence, intellect, and strong communication skills—qualities that embody the values and excellence of the CITE community.

The successful conduct of the events was made possible through the leadership of Mr. Denzel James Valdez, OIC Dean of the CITE department.

The College of Information Technology Education (CITE) of Golden West Colleges, Inc. successfully conducted its CITE Week 2026 from February 2 to 6, 2026, at the GWC Campus and Plaza Enrique Braganza. The week-long celebration highlighted student excellence, innovation, and creativity in the field of information technology.

A series of academic competitions and learning activities were organized to assess students’ technical competencies, critical thinking skills, and industry readiness. Key activities included the CITE Project Exhibit, TechTalino: IT Quiz Bee, PC Build and Disassemble Race, Crimp IT Right!: LAN Cable Crimping Contest, CodeRush: Coding and Debugging Challenge, and Type Titans: Speed Typing Competition.

The event was headed by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Dean, in collaboration with the CITE faculty members, the CITE Departmental Officers Adviser, Ms. Joyce Raon, and the Departmental Officers President, Ms. Francis Cia Tugade.

In addition, the celebration featured an informative seminar titled “Behind the Screen: Understanding Cyber Threats in the Digital Age.” The seminar provided students with valuable insights into cybersecurity awareness, emerging digital risks, and the importance of responsible technology use.
