ALEGRIA, ALABEL, SARANGANI โ€” The Marron Tamaraws of Grade 12 emerged as the overall champions of TAGISAN 2026, amassing 1,895 points to rule Alegria National High Schoolโ€™s IntraMural Days.

The Tamaraws' championship run was built on consistent performances across individual, double, and team events, eventually separating themselves from five other grade-level teams in the race for the overall crown.

Among the featured individual events, the Tamaraws posted strong finishes in vocal-solo, billiards, chess, 100-meter dash, javelin throw, dart, bunong-braso, takyan, and dampa. They also delivered in the double and team events, including banner raising, badminton, team quiz, MLBB, basketball, volleyball, sepak takraw, kadang-kadang, and tug of war.

Their strongest showing came in the team events, where the Grade 12 squad collected several top finishes. The Tamaraws scored 100 points in MLBB, 100 in Basketball 3x3 Men's, 100 in Basketball 5x5, 100 in Volleyball Men's, 100 in Volleyball Women's, and 100 in Kadang-Kadang, before capping their campaign with 100 points in Tug of War.

The Orange Tarantulas of Grade 11 mounted the closest challenge, finishing second overall with 1,780 points, just 115 points behind the champions. The Red Lions of Grade 10 secured third place with 1,432.5 points.

The Blue Eagles of Grade 9 finished fourth with 1,240 points, while the Yellow Hornets of Grade 8 and Green Panthers of Grade 7 placed fifth and sixth with 1,187.5 and 1,100 points, respectively.

FINAL TAGISAN 2026 STANDINGS

Grade 12 โ€“ Marron Tamaraws โ€” 1,895 points
Grade 11 โ€“ Orange Tarantulas โ€” 1,780 points
Grade 10 โ€“ Red Lions โ€” 1,432.5 points
4th Grade 9 โ€“ Blue Eagles โ€” 1,240 points
5th Grade 8 โ€“ Yellow Hornets โ€” 1,187.5 points
6th Grade 7 โ€“ Green Panthers โ€” 1,100 points

With the final points tallied, the Tamaraws proved that the championship was not won in a single event but through depth, consistency, and strong finishes across the competition.

Alegria National High School (ANHS) celebrates another set of achievements as two learners secured top finishes in their respective competitions during the Division Festival of Talents 2026.

Niรฑa Estandarte earned 3rd Place in the PopDev Quiz, showcasing her knowledge and understanding of population and development concepts through her impressive performance.

Meanwhile, Laica Niรฑa Salvaleon secured 4th Place in Immersive Reading, demonstrating her strong reading comprehension, interpretation, and engagement with the competitionโ€™s material.

Behind these accomplishments are their dedicated coaches who provided guidance, preparation, and encouragement throughout their training. Narlyn Tejada, coach of Niรฑa Estandarte, and Joharto Utto, coach of Laica Niรฑa Salvaleon, played an important role in helping the learners prepare for the competition.

MAITUM, Sarangani โ€” Two learners with special educational needs (LSENs) from Alegria National High School secured third-place finishes in the 2026 Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) Abilympics, held in Maitum, Sarangani, from September 6 to 8.

John Paul Cababa placed third in the Savor the Flavor competition under the guidance of coach Marissa C. Larroza.

Meanwhile, Eunice Egos also earned third place in Bake Cares, coached by Claudine Balucas.

Both Cababa and Egos are LSENs who are currently mainstreamed in regular classes at Alegria National High School.

Another LSEN, Ronilo Galupo, represented the school in the Table Skirting competition under the guidance of coach Tirso Pablo. Galupo is currently enrolled in the schoolโ€™s SNEd Transition Class.

The Abilympics featured skills-based competitions that provided learners with opportunities to showcase their practical skills, creativity, and abilities in various areas.

The participation and achievements of the Alegria NHS LSENs in the 2026 DFOT highlight the schoolโ€™s commitment to providing inclusive opportunities for learners to develop their skills, build confidence, and participate meaningfully in competitive events.

MAITUM, Sarangani โ€” Alegria National High School represented Alabel 4 District in the 2026 Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) held in Maitum, Sarangani, from September 6 to 8.

The school fielded learners in four competitions during the three-day division-wide event.

In Dokyuwento, Laurence Abejar, Katelyn Bacquiano, and Coline Lamoste competed under the guidance of coach Hervie Jean Rosales.

Richelyn Albarando and Froilan Yatan represented the school in STEMazing, coached by Victor Melitante Jr.

Meanwhile, Laica Niรฑa Salvaleon competed in Immersive Reading with Joharto Utto as her coach.

In the Population Development Quiz, Niรฑa Estandarte represented Alegria NHS under the coaching of Narlyn Tejada.

The DFOT brought together learners from different schools in Sarangani to compete in various talent-based events designed to showcase their skills, knowledge, creativity, and abilities.

Alegria NHSโ€™s participation marked the schoolโ€™s representation of Alabel 4 District in the division-level competition.

ALABEL, SARANGANI โ€” Alegria National High School (ANHS) secured three individual slots and one team entry to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) following its strong showing in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026 held on September 4-6, 2026.

Girlie Joy Aquino placed fourth in Science and Technology Writingโ€“Filipino, qualifying for the regional competition under the guidance of coach Victor Melitante Jr.

In English News Writing, Laica Niรฑa Salvaleon placed fifth, earning a spot in the RSPC. She was coached by Joharto Utto.

Meanwhile, Quenlee Joy Acebo finished fifth in Copyediting and Headline Writingโ€“Filipino, also securing an RSPC slot. She was coached by Syrelle Letigio-Manga.

Under the DSPC qualification rules, only the top five placers in individual writing events advance to the RSPC.

Two other ANHS journalists also earned notable finishes, with Richelyn Albarando placing seventh in Science and Technology Writingโ€“English and Mikee Lendio finishing seventh in Editorial Cartooningโ€“Filipino. Albarando was coached by Victor Melitante Jr., while Lendio was coached by Reynald Dapar.

In the team events, the ANHS Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) English Radio Broadcasting team emerged as the schoolโ€™s sole radio broadcasting qualifier for the RSPC.

The team earned Best in Technical Application, Best in Infomercial, and Best in Script, adding to its strong DSPC performance. The team was coached by Annirose Arevalo and Hervie Jean Rosales, who handled radio script writing and broadcasting.

Meanwhile, the Regular English Radio Broadcasting team placed second in the division competition. The team was coached by Joharto Utto and Victor Melitante Jr. Despite its podium finish, the team did not advance to the RSPC since only the first-place radio broadcasting team qualifies for the regional competition.

With three individual qualifiers and one team qualifier, Alegria NHS will carry four entries to the RSPC, representing the school in writing and radio broadcasting.

The results reflect the combined efforts of the student journalists and their coaches as they continue to hone their skills in campus journalism and broadcasting.
