SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES | OCTOBER 09, 2026

All face-to-face classes in all levels, both public and private schools in the Municipality of Alabel, are hereby suspended on Friday, October 09, 2026, upon the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), headed by Municipal Mayor Lilibeth “Ybing” J. Salarda, MPA.

The suspension is being implemented following the recent earthquake to allow for the full and thorough inspection of school buildings and facilities and to ensure their structural safety and readiness before the resumption of in-person classes.

To ensure learning continuity, schools are advised to utilize blended learning modalities during the suspension period.

Meanwhile, work in government and private offices will continue as scheduled to ensure the continuous delivery of essential services and the proper coordination of safety and disaster response measures.

Everyone is advised to remain alert and vigilant, follow established safety protocols, and stay informed through official announcements from the Local Government Unit of Alabel and concerned disaster response agencies.
