Bayanihan Blazes in Alabat: Community Ignites Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kickoff
Adhering to the timeless spirit of bayanihan, Alabat Central Elementary School formally kicked off its Brigada Eskwela 2026 today, June 1, 2026.
The day commenced promptly at 6:30 AM with a community parade, followed by the formal program proper at 7:00 AM.
The initial ceremonies featured the singing of the National Anthem led by Master Teacher I Joy Ann L. Asia, a solemn prayer by Teacher I Camilia P. Daluz, and regional and local pride hymns—including the CALABARZON March, Lalawigan ng Quezon, and Alabat Isang Paraiso—conducted by Teacher III Rowena M. Adolfo.
ACES Principal II, Liza T. Rodillas, formally welcomed the attendees, setting a collaborative tone for the multi-day volunteer effort aimed at cleaning, repairing, and preparing classroom facilities before the shift to the new academic calendar.
Demonstrating strong solidarity between the education sector and the local government, a powerhouse lineup of municipal officials attended to deliver inspirational messages:

Also, Mrs. Amalia Sasis took the stage for the awarding of the top 5 highest tax votes last Search of the Tax Queen 2026. The awardees were the following:
1st - Non-Teaching Personnel
2nd - Mrs. Eva A. Arguelles (5-EAAFL)
3rd - Mrs. Minerva M. Asis (6-MMA)
4th - Aileen J. Villamayor (4-AJV)
5th - Melita R. Layosa (6-MRL)
The cash prizes were sponsored by Mrs. Amalia Sasis herself.
The presence of the General PTA leadership and local officials underscores the joint community commitment to providing safer, cleaner, and more inspiring learning spaces for young learners.
Following an intensive Activity Details and Orientation session led by School Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Elsa A. Malasa, volunteers and teachers took part in a lively Zumba fitness session led by Teacher II Mariz May R. Abuel to energize everyone for the physical tasks ahead.
The kickoff portion concluded with closing remarks from Arlen A. Reazo, Teacher III and ACESTEA President.
With the launch successfully wrapped up, volunteers mobilized across the campus with brooms, paintbrushes, and maintenance tools. The Brigada Eskwela activities will run through the first week of June, ensuring everything is in pristine order when students officially return to their classrooms.

Alabat Central Elementary School (ACES) vibrated with pride and excellence as it held its Recognition Day for School Year 2025-2026 on March 27, 2026.
The event, centered on the theme “Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao,” honored the academic achievements and character development of learners across all Key Stages.
Afternoon Ceremony for Key Stage 1
The afternoon event focused on learners from Grade 1 to Grade 3. Parents and teachers attended to watch the students receive their awards.

Morning Session: Empowering Key Stage 2 Achievers
The morning event was dedicated to learners from Key Stage 2 (Grades 4&5) and SNED learners. The atmosphere was one of solemnity and triumph as students marched to receive their medals and certificates, signifying their mastery of complex academic challenges.
Serving as the guest speaker for the morning ceremony was Mr. Syron Sasis, Master Teacher II and Officer-in-Charge of Del Pilar Elementary School (DPES). In his inspirational message, Mr. Sasis emphasized the dual importance of competence and character. He encouraged the young achievers to use their knowledge not just for personal success, but as a tool for leadership within their communities.

Dr. Lyn Tapan Inspires Young Learners at ACES Moving Up Rites
Emphasizing the fusion of academic excellence and moral integrity, Dr. Lyn Vargas Tapan, SLSU-Alabat Campus Director, served as the guest speaker during the Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony of Alabat Central Elementary School (ACES) held on March 26, 2026.
Addressing the young completers and their parents, Dr. Tapan highlighted this year’s DepEd theme, "Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character, (Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao) as she urged the community to nurture the next generation of Alabateño leaders.

Alabat Central Elementary School Crowns First MPTA Tax Queen 2026
History was made as Mrs. Maria Theresa Mascariña Olivera of Alabat Central Elementary School (ACES) was crowned as the first-ever MPTA Tax Queen during the coronation held yesterday, March 23, 2026, at the ACES Covered Court.
The landmark event marked a creative turning point in the local government unit’s (LGU) annual tax campaign, shifting from traditional seminars to a dynamic, community-focused pageant.
For the first time, the search for a "Tax Queen" became the centerpiece of Alabat's efforts to promote fiscal responsibility and civic duty among its youngest citizens and their families.
With the six participating school, this diverse representation underscored a unified effort across the district to instill the value of taxation in building a stronger community.
The Municipal Parent-Teacher Association (MPTA), in partnership with LGU Alabat, launched this pageant to make "tax consciousness" more relatable and engaging.
The crowning of the MPTA Tax Queen marks a successful milestone in this year’s tax consciousness month, proving that beauty and brains can indeed be powerful tools for nation-building.

The event was a formal tribute to the stakeholders and contributors whose dedication has been the backbone of the school’s recent achievements.
The ceremony revolved around the powerful theme of U.H.A.Y., an acronym that defines the school's mission for community engagement:
