Damag North Elementary School, through the leadership of Mariano Lamag Jr., proudly celebrates the successful Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2026, honoring the hard work, perseverance, and achievements of our learners.

With the presence of our esteemed guests, supportive parents, and dedicated teachers, the event became even more meaningful. Guided by the theme, “Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character,” the ceremony highlighted the readiness of our graduates to take on future challenges.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished guest speaker, PEMS Maldrid H. Liwayan, for the inspiring message shared to our graduates. We are honored too by the presence of Hon. Clemente S. Talusig, municipal mayor, who joined the celebration not only in an official capacity but also as a proud parent, making the occasion even more special. We also sincerely thank Ma’am Evangeline A. Dulnuan, CID Chief for gracing today's occasion. Your presence made this milestone even more significant.

Education should empower, not erase. Today, DNES headed by Mr. Mariano Lamag Jr. and BLGU-Damag headed by punong barangay Ricky P. Iguan jointly celebrate IPEd month to honor the vibrant culture and rich histories that thrive within indigenous people and the community.

This day of cultural pride, thank you Miss Hazel G. Po-ang for gracing today's occasion and reminding our learners and the community on the importance of preserving our roots for future generation.

To make it more engaging, the learners and the community were grouped into three as competing teams for the following laro ng lahi: tajaw, i-innat, hiwwo', hanggor, ag-agto race, sack race, munkholot ja munpuwo' hi manu', Akkad, karkalamet, muntala-id hi chotar and mun-akhod hi apfa.

Rooted in tradition, reaching for the future. From ancestral knowledge comes modern strength. Happy IPEd celebration!

In line with the Presidential Decree No. 491,also known as the Nutrition Act of the Philippines, which mandates the observance of nutrition month every July to raise awareness on the importance of good nutrition, Damag North Elementary School, through the leadership of mr. Mariano Lamag Jr., jointly celebrates the nutrition month with the BLGU-Damag Barangay Damag through the leadership of Hon. Ricky Iguan ( Futec Iguan ) today, July 31, 2025 as a gesture of showing support to government programs with the theme "Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na pagkain, Karapatan natin!" With Ms. Revelyn P. Gabino,RN, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer as guest speaker.

DNES learners and the community were grouped into 3 as competing teams for the following activities: agro parade, agro-fair, nutri-jingle and cooking Gabi (from runner to leaves).

We appreciate everyone's participation. Indeed, it was full of fun and learning.

Please be guided by the following reminders to ensure the safety of learners and personnel, especially during inclement weather:

When a typhoon signal is raised, please strictly adhere to the official announcements regarding the suspension of face-to-face classes—regardless of whether it is currently raining or not.

𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙮 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡 (𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙉𝙤. 1 𝙤𝙧 𝙉𝙤 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡)
In cases where there is no typhoon signal or only Signal No. 1, but your barangay, municipality, or province is experiencing heavy rainfall, coordination with the Local Chief Executive (LCE) is essential in determining whether to suspend face-to-face classes.

𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 (𝙚.𝙜., 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨)
Even without an official class suspension, if roads going to school are dangerous (e.g., prone to landslides or flooding), parents are advised not to send their children to school. Learners may stay home and continue their studies using their Learning Activity Sheets (LAS), Self-Learning Modules (SLM), or books. Teachers should always be prepared for possible class suspensions by providing students with appropriate take-home learning tasks.

𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨
No learner should be exposed to danger out of fear of being marked absent. Schools should implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) to ensure that learning continues safely.

For all DepEd CAR personnel: if traveling to your work station poses a serious risk to your life, please choose safety first. You may contact your immediate superior to arrange for alternative work arrangements.
