"You should brush your teeth for 2 minutes and 2 to 3 times a day. One must follow the proper brushing of teeth to get rid the different bacteria" Charisse T. Idos, health coordinator said.
One must eat foods rich in calcium like banana, almonds, dark green leafy-vegetables and phosphorus like eggs, beans, and fishes to build a healthy and strong tooth.

AIS fights Nutritional Impairments through Deworming
At Aguilar Integrated School, Senior High School Department participates in the said National School Deworming Day conducted last January 30, 2020. It was headed by our School Nurse Catherine Berdin together with our School Clinic Coordinator Charisse T.Idos.
National Deworming is being done because Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH) is a public health concern that has a detrimental impact on learner’s growth and development. Worm infestation causes several nutritional impairments such as malabsorption on nutrient and loss of appetite which could lead to decrease in energy and cognitive impairment. In line with this program, DepEd work hand in hand with the Department of Health to eliminate parasitism in children in school. They are distributing anti-helminthic drugs twice a year campaign held during the months of January and July.
The deworming activity was carried out simultaneously in each room. Before the distribution of anti-helminthic drug, our school nurse made sure that they have their permits on hand, are on full stomach and are oriented with the benefits of deworming to their health. Some precautionary measures are also mentioned before the administration of the drug. They administered a single dose chewable tablet of Albendazole 400 mg to every SHS student.
A smooth conduct of the NSDD has been observed. No negative results have been reported after a day of taking the drug.
